well mate, other guys sing and dance on their own because they want to, and if the girls dance with them or not is irrelevant to them, they’ll still dance on their own and have a genuine great time.

Their “fun” isn’t dependent on what the girls do. Their vive is magnetic because they were already having fun without the girls and don’t need any attention at all from girls to enjoy themselves.

But you however don’t sing or dance because you want to. You only try to sing or dance with a girl and if the girl says no, you stop singing or dancing because you don’t see the point in singing or dancing by yourself.

Your “fun” is dependent on what girls do. Your vive is therefore repulsive because deep down you don’t have fun when you sing or dance alone in the club as you need attention from girls to feel like you are having fun.

So thats the thing, the difference is your friends aren’t trying to get something from girls (they might be open to sex or romance, but not seeking it), whereas you are definitely trying to get something. Their behavior is grounded while your behavior is needy.

Their vibe is self-sustained while yours collapses without validation. That neediness is what makes the energy repulsive with you, because it signals you are not there to share fun, you are there to extract it.

You were trying or goal oriented rather than just being there in the moment. Looking around and making judgements on what’s happening puts you in your head rather than being present with the others.

Go there and just dance and sing like no one’s watching, occasionally briefly try and connect with others and refer to the shared experiences you’re witnessing/having, and if their reception is cold, keep your playful energy rolling and go back to enjoying yourself. You’re there to have fun

Have fun

Dance solo

Look up club hits on YouTube, doesn't matter the years, then look up the dances for each song. Not choreography though, that's a bit intensive and more for others to watch than for you to do for yourself)

Drink and watch, space out

You can be on your phone occasionally, but only for like a few seconds at a time or to sound hound some songs that are playing for the above tip; Mostly just use your phone so you feel like you can rather than you're forcing yourself not to look at it, that makes you want it more-- Choose not to use it rather than restrict yourself)

Talk to somebody, maybe

Don't have to be full conversation, better you don't unless it comes up naturally, but just a few interjections while you're chilling to occupy/distract yourself like "Hey, what's up? I just got here, what about you?" "Where you from?"

But again this shouldn't be a full convo or even lead anywhere, it's to get you used to everyone amd everyone used to you; After like 2-3 lines you can fuck off to the bathroom or something, or go back to spacing out. They might continue the convo themselves, though, and then y'all can chatter

Try to dance, really

I used to be self conscious dancing at the club (still am a bit, if it's super open), until I went in and I was acknowledged yet nobody gave a fuck, or even join in sometimes doing my stupid thing

Sing

There's karaoke? Dude sing some One Piece, you gotta

Or whatever you like, but me personally

Just have fun, or do an impression of it until doing the impression itself is fun

Clubs magnify energy. If you walk in stiff, self-conscious, and worried about how you’re coming across, the room feels it and the women instantly file you under “try-hard.” That’s the wall you felt. The other guys weren’t necessarily taller, hotter, or smoother. They just carried themselves like they belonged. In a high-energy environment like karaoke, confidence isn’t about lines, it’s about vibe. Women are scanning for who looks like they’re having fun without needing validation.

Here’s the trap you fell into: you were chasing. You saw women respond to other men, and instead of leading with your own energy, you leaned in harder, trying to break into their attention. That reads as desperation. In those settings, less is more. Laugh with your boys, enjoy the music, start dancing without hesitation, and tease women playfully instead of approaching like you’re applying for a job. Your energy has to say, “I’m the fun. Come join me,” not “Please let me in.”

Also, calibrate your body language. Stand tall, shoulders back, keep your hands free (not buried in pockets or clutching your drink like a shield). When you sing, don’t half-ass it. Own the mic. Even if you sound like garbage, commitment is sexier than timidity. Women don’t want perfect, they want bold. The guy who belts out badly but laughs and winks about it will always be more attractive than the one who nervously mumbles through a safe pick.

Stop trying to “be chosen.” Start behaving like the guy who is already having a blast, with or without female attention. That shift flips the dynamic, suddenly women are curious why you’re so damn comfortable while every other guy is hustling for scraps. That’s presence, and that’s what the club rewards.
