You walk in thinking you're in the right headspace to just approach and talk, and then it's deer in headlights. Excuses, self-doubt, thoughts about how lonely you are, whining, fear, uncertainty.

You can read all the books or posts here you want, but in the moment it's just do or die. Often I wither.

Maybe this is more of a general self esteem mental health thing that's holding me back, but others may feel similarly. I think I just place too much importance, hesitate too much, and overthink it. I also am only just now going out sober so for me that changes things so much, it's like I have to relearn to be social.

Any comments, thoughts?
