Actually - this is an area where traditional advice columnists and TRP can sing in accord: tell her that if he doesn't want to marry, there's nothing she can do. Badgering him or trapping him into marriage won't make her happy. She needs to break it off with him and try to find a marriage minded guy while the bloom is still on the rose.

Tell her to lower her expectations (if she can) and go after one of her orbiters (these are most likely decent guys) and remind her that marriage will be boring and uneventful. Put pressure on her to not divorce rape the poor sod and be faithful.

If she can't lower her expectations: Get her a few cats so she doesn't feel too lonely.

How about you tell her to trust and submit to men and to take the risks that we're normally exposed to. ie be honest, have children if she wants, don't expect marriage ~~retirement~~ commitment from men, let the dice fall where they may, etc.

Sorry, but women don't get to have it both ways. Riding the CC until she's 30 and then settling down with Chad. It doesn't work like that honey. You wanna settle down with Chad, you get married as 22. You want Chads 1-99 through your 20's then you're going to have to settle for BillyBeta when you hit 30.

This is reality. You can hide from reality, but you cannot hide from the consequences of hiding from reality. TRP cannot save your sister from reality.

You should definitely talk to her, speaking to her as a brother.

She's facing a difficult reality - you're being truer family by ensuring that she knows the truth (as opposed to what she wants the truth to be); what she does after that is up to her - you've done your job at that point.

This is the approach I've taken with my sister; she understands the environment and can deal accordingly, even if it systematically sucks for her. At least she won't be delusional or caught off-guard.

I guess it's hard to enlighten women you don't want to fuck. It's a simlar situation to my 40 year old alpha widow friend I was trying to shake some sense into.

Just get knocked up like all the other girls do. If Chad steps up put a saddle on him on ride him to an early grave. If not lasso one of the smaller ponies that would raise the Mustangs pups with pride. She can always keep Chad around for breeding if the pony bores her.

For real, though she should move on to a better man provided she earns enough money to pay her bills on her own and can be a decent companion otherwise she should work on that first so that she isn't in survival mode and can afford to entertain higher states of emotion.
