Greetings.

I live here. Stay away from the Pattaya entertainment district (where all the whoring goes on) and try the dance clubs or actual social events. There's a sizable expat community here and in Bangkok that you can leverage for social interaction.

My most fruitful hunting grounds have been various social mixers organized by the many international chambers of commerce. In the last 3 months, the British and German chambers hosted mixers in Pattaya. In both I met beautiful women with whom I engaged (one Russian, one German). As far as game, it's about the same as everywhere else, with one advantage: if you convey self-confidence and purpose, it's easier to engage here than in EU or US, because everyone at those events is already attending for the express purpose of engaging with others, either for business or socially.

I'm also a skydiver, I've engaged with a few ladies through that -- and same thing: expats want connection and seek out other expats, so the initial barrier to entry is lower.

You can also engage with "hiso" (high society) Asians at said mixers, if you're into Asian women. These will be fun, smart, pretty, in-shape/gym going hiso girls with great English.

If you're here only for a short time (say, 7-12 days), you will have better luck at one of the nice resorts like Royal Cliff, Dusit Thani, Pullman G, or Centara Mirage. Although lots of families show up, I've met two swinging couples that way (engaged with the lady, her guy came with the package), and several single women. Professional women, various races, come from Bangkok for the weekend to the nicer resorts. Good chances of meeting lawyers, entertainment, doctors, or psychologists. I made friends with two cute Romanian ladies, a software engineer and a lawyer, at one of the resorts. There's a good mix of Asians (mostly Thai) and westerners.

If you have game, you don't have to bother with the working girls -- they're very low quality women, and places like Soi 6 brim with desperation on the part of the johns and the workers.

Just returned back from Bangkok. I stayed less than a week. Visited Phuket a few years ago. I didn't like Phuket and wasn't planning to return to Thailand, but I had to take a connected flight and I said why not stop over for a few days instead of a few hours. I'm never going back, even if they pay me on the top.

Your question was particularly about dating or hookups, so I'll focus on it. If you can approach women wherever you live, Thailan is neither good nor bad. There are lots of western expats and travelers. Mostly backpackers but still you can find some people who have actual jobs while working from there. Now, the problem is, the latter group either lives in exotic condos or highrise buildings, and usually have their own closed circles. I wouldn't expect them to reject you but the quesion is how will you find them, I mean where they hang out. The backpackers are everywhere, and if it's your thing, well you can practically go to any touristic city in Europe and have the same luck.

If you are asking about those shady places, yes I walked around and can tell you it's a sad, very sad sight to be seen. Lots of old western guys paired up with younger, unamuzed women. I visited two of those famous streets and said to myself "this is where I don't want to end up when I get older"

Don't get me wrong, I like people from SEE, they are usually respectful, have good family values, hard working people. But tourism and urbanization screwed up the key destinations. Those influencers carry the 3rd wave coffee shops with them like a disease and kill the local fabric. One of the malls was similar size to the Dubai mall

If you already booked your flight, don't expect any miracles. If you are deciding where to go, consider other options.

I've been to pattaya three times. Tinder does everything for you. You can find girlfriends but also way too many freelancers and LBs. I've had a very good time there with tinder only. Only when I was drunk I rarely checked out beach road.

I've been living here on and off for close to 10 years.

Everyone online say is easy, but I've never met any other guy who sleeps with dime pieces for free in Thailand.

Turns out it's just like any other place in the world: legit hot girls are hard to get.

Honestly, freelancers and ladyboys aren't really a problem because you can spot then from miles away and the majority of them is very open about it.

Now the regular girls:

It may seem easy to get girls in Thailand if you just have a quick look online but it's either marketing ("look at my YouTube video of myself getting lots of attention from lots of thai women") or it's posted by losers back home who went home with a hooker on her day off and that's their only way to brag about it.

I'll go even further: the highest subset of thai high society despises foreigners who are not extra integrated (so as a tourist you have 0 chances with them).

When I go to bars in Bangkok and tell other guys I meet girls without paying they often ask me how I did it in disbelief. That's the vibe here if you don't have strategies in place. You either get low quality women or you get used as the foreign walking wallet.

If you want to "game" the same caliber of women than what you get back home, you're gonna get the same or worse results.

It's not harder or easier, although finding a quality Thai gf comes with the fact she got raised in a totally different culture and you will have to put up with her "unexpected behavior" sometimes. Personally I hate that, so I just date expats and very westernized Thai women.

So if you're like me that will shrink your dating pool and it's harder in a sense.

If you want to come to Thailand to go to a party street, get hammered and then bring back a random girl home, yeah that's very doable. But that's just because of the festive vibe and you gotta completely throw your standards out the window to do that.

Personally I like the city because it has a lot of entrepreneur women from all over the world, and that's the type I like to meet (my building there is full of Ukrainian and Brazilian models for example).

I wouldn't recommend coming to Thailand for the ease of the women, but rather for the diversity of options you have here.

If you want to date normal women, definitely not Pattaya.

Can be done in BKK, but a lot of girls are still side line freelancers and relationships are very transactional.

Can you get a lot of women in Thailand? Yes. Will you get better at game in Thailand? Not the best place

Heyhey. I was in Thailand last week.

I have some tips for you.

Avoid Pattaya if you dont like freelancers. Dont even try. If you want to dip in the beach you can go to Phuket or Hua Hin.

Bangkok will be the best place for regular girls. Dating apps are basic, fire up and start swiping and you be racking up matches and arranging dates. If you want nightlife it depends if its a weekend or not. If its a Weekend you can go to Sing Sing Theater or other clubs around Ekkamai, also Levels at soi11 is good. On the weekday the clubs get kind of slower pace so Kao Shan Road is your place to be. Plenty of women for you. If you have any more questions just fire away but these are the basics!

I went to thailand and had pretty great experiences with great women every single day. Just use Tinder or go to bars. Don't spend money. Most women are extremely nice. You can tell who the sex workers are.
