I was talking to my older brother yesterday on the phone. While we were talking the topic of our sister's voluntary unemployment came up. My sister who is a barrister ( a lawyer who passed the bar in the UK) is also married to a barrister. Her husband is wonderful guy, he has found a lot of success after marrying my sister. In short, he has become wealthy. So my sister who could not find an internship job chose to work in her husband's law firm. She worked there for few months and then decided she focus on the upbringing of her daughter, which I really appreciate. However, for some reason my older brother is a lil bit upset about the fact she is not being able to focus on her career. He thinks that my sister's husband is not helpful with the baby and this is why she is not working which is not actually true. The truth is that her motherly instincts are kicking in. She wants to focus on her motherhood.

Sometimes, I don't understand my brother's views. He is a male feminist, he doesn't say he is but he acts like one. His wife is a feminist and I dislike her but I want the best for both of them. I just hate that my brother resents our sister's husband for being the ideal man which he himself couldn't be. I know this is long and boring post. I just had to get this off my chest. I would like to read your opinions or feedback. Also, english isn't my first language.
