I would avoid boring topics that everyone is going to ask... like "where do you work" "Where do you live".

Personally in a speed date I think vibe matters more than anything you actually say. Make eye contact, don't rush, be confident. Try to avoid much small talk and get into organic conversation. Try to show interest and get her to talk about herself. On a date or a speed date, a girl doesn't want to have a boring logical conversation. She wants to feel emotions.

They are reasonably good events for practicing the fundamentals.

Use the even to help you get in state before heading out sarging.

Even better, use post-event socializing to leave with one or more of the women to use as social proof for working nearby social venues.

So before you go, check your events guide for fun-looking events happening on the same evening.

Definitely go. It's a good thing to experience, especially if you need practice interacting in a romantic manner.

Smile, be polite, bag a couple of good openers/jokes to get the ball rolling, and just chat. Ask questions, but don't rapid fire. Question, answer, comment, follow up question about that thing or something similar is how basic convo works. You probably know that, but it's real easy to forget when being interested in a stranger and trying to get something moving. People tend to either clam up, ask a ton of questions without the comment/follow up (like an interview), or just talk about themselves the whole time. A note about that - the talking about themselves the entire time may be a sign of bad things, but most of the time it's just them being nervous and trying to impress you.

Try to be unique within the confines of the setting. There's only so many questions, openers, etc that 99% of the people there will say/hear. After a few rounds, you're basically repeating the same shit over and over again, so having a clever/funny line or two that's even somewhat unique is going to stand out. When I did it, I started asking women if they got married yet or how many hearts they've already broken that night when the inevitable question of their perception of the event, if they've speed dated before, etc. Not particularly unique or clever or anything, but it did break up the energy to make it more fun for me and the women. Little things like that can divert the convo into something much different than the standard, which in a speed dating situation you're only really just getting a baseline attraction/interest so you know if you want to go on a proper date to actually get to know them.

Speed dating is very competitive. I did it once and I was surprised that there was a female majority. But in the end I wasn't chosen but turned out that the majority of the women had the same matches, so they competed for the 3-4 best performing men.

Don't talk about religion
If she talks about sex, then you can. But rarely it will happen.

What you can do: - talk about the news - talk about your last trip - make healthy jokes - listen to her.

Plus, if you can take some inputs about what she's telling to move the conversation that way, great. People love to talk about themselves

Definitely go. I go to them whenever I can (once every six weeks or so). I think of it like twelve mini dates each time I go. It's a great opportunity for me to practice interacting with women. Try to have fun with each conversation as opposed to getting hung up on whether your matching with someone.

I've been to a few dating events the last few months to get back into the dating world. The best intros are always contextual to what she's wearing, what she's doing, what you notice about her. And the most important part is to actually say what you're thinking and don't hold back the positives.

Met this girl at a cowboy themed bar, she's Latina wearing a grey overcoat on top of her black blouse and pants. Weather was in the high 60s so I opted to comment this. "How are you not feeling hot with all that you're wearing and how hot you're looking tonight?". The idea is you comment on what you notice about her, not about what you think or feel. We got to Date 3 but sadly she didn't feel ready to date further since she was dealing with a ton of family issues at home regarding her aging family.

A few more ideas that I found that the girls liked.

"I love the way your eyes look! your green dress really makes them pretty"

"You're giving off the vibe of Keira Knightley in the Pirates movie, like you can control me oh so well. Hi I'm xxxx nice to meet you" She seemed a little stern so that just made her laugh

"Hi! its a pleasure to meet you, shake her hand, make eye contact for atleast 3s, drop the handshake somewhere in that 3s. Then tell her I like your smile, its comforting to look at"
