When I was getting into this stuff around a year ago, I was pushing myself out of my comfort zone a lot with kino/escalation/flirtation, and had plenty of successes and plenty of rejections, which is fine.

Over time, my ability to read body language and signs of interest improved a lot, and I was able to tell when was a good time to escalate, go for touch, kiss etc.

Because of this, I stopped just going for it and pretty much only bothered escalating with girls showing a very high level of interest, quite quickly.

I got lazy with girls that seem somewhat attracted but not 'very high interest'. For example, dates that last a long time and conversation/laughter is flowing well, and she's accepting of touch but not reciprocating that much.

I even had the occasion recently where it was a good date but she ended it early and went for the hug at the end instead of lingering for a kiss. I just assumed disinterest and forgot about her, but she texted me a day later saying she had a lovely time and wanted to see me again.

I feel like I'll do a couple of flirts/compliments/teases, and a couple of subtle touches and if she doesn't seem super receptive or I get them back, I just stop bothering to escalate.

It's not even really out of anxiety/fear of rejection like it used to be when I was starting out. It's just like I can't be bothered to keep pushing if they don't make it super easy.

Don't get me wrong I'm still doing well overall because I do meet high interest girls semi-frequently, just feel like I may be leaving a lot on the table out of laziness?

Has anyone else had this issue?
