My ex has not made any payments for our child’s extracurricular activities since November. Despite our agreement in early January to split the costs, I have made my payments while my ex has failed to pay the remainder. I recently received a message stating that the account is past due.

Because of recent weather, my child missed a session last week, and they also missed the week prior. My child has mentioned twice now that they weren't allowed to participate specifically because the payments haven't been made. I am considering calling the school to take over the payments entirely and asking to move the activity to a day when the children are in my care. I’m debating whether to wait and see if my child actually attends this week with my ex, or if I should stop waiting and take action now. Any suggestions?

Additionally, my oldest child told me that a family member has been smoking cigarettes inside their apartment. I’m inclined to believe this because that family member has done so in the past. Although they weren't removed from the lease, the children's new building supposedly has a very strict 'no smoking' policy. I’m deeply worried about what will happen to my children if my ex loses her housing due to these lease violations. Does anyone have advice on how to handle this?
