I know the human population is roughly a 50-50 split, but I feel like technology makes it feel much much worse in terms of dating. You could be forgiven for thinking that men and women of equal value pair off, but that isn't what happens in practice. Using the infamous "x out of 10" scale, you'll see most of the "lower value" women just outright ignore "lower value" men.

There's a YouTube channel called HoeMath that does a really good job visually representing this. I'm sure you could Google it or just see it one his videos. It gets trotted out a lot but it's the truth.

Despite their selective nature, women are still inundated with options. The burden of performance is also on the male for our species. However rare, a good looking man can be enough of a dweeb that he gets little to no attention. This would be things like lack of confidence, competence, and poor communication skills.

So this brings us back to traditional roles. Why can we, as men, never escape them? Because they are intrinsic to our attraction. A determined, confident, competent, man with a good approach is essentially the definition of an attractive man.

Don't wanna play ball? That's fine. There's another guy in line to take your place. It's like being an employer with a thousand applicants. We can low-key select the ones that will do the best work, for the lowest pay, while being the most amenable to abusive workplace practices. Except it's dating, and the workplace abuse is you paying for everything while she flirts with her "male friends who totally don't want to bang me. wink"

It’s all about female supremacy, beat down men with words because they can’t do it physically. They want to dismantle the “patriarchy” but at the same time reap the benefits of the “patriarchy”.

If feminists want to abolish patriarchy they would always go 50/50 on dates, date men who are as close to equal as them in every metric possible, approach them and make the first move etc etc.

Feminism is an inherently flawed ideology for many reasons but this is one of the main reasons. Women are biologically wired to seek men that are better than them (stronger, wealthier, smarter etc) you can’t fight for equality between the sexes and turn around and demand men have to be better to have a chance

I hope I don’t sound too preachy, but in my opinion social media has warped the way we as humans socialize and communicate with each other. We all stay in our little bubbles and do not go out and explore. We do not go and talk with people who have different perspectives, instead we yell at each other from across the fence about who did what.

My point is that this woman in the video that you are speaking of does not represent half the world’s population. Sure, there may be other women who agree with her, but they do not represent all women, no one does. To me, she sounds like she has a mix of progressive and traditional views that make no sense. Her views do not hold up in real life.

Humans are highly intelligent beings, and our way of thinking is constantly changing. No one person thinks the same thing. I believe that it is good you are questioning these things. If you do not want to pay for drinks or make the first move you can do that. We are in the modern world, woman have good jobs, they do not need you to pay. Some of them might want you to pay, but this is because they have traditional views that they are not aware are traditional. Unlike you, some of these women have not questioned why they believe men should pay, or make the first move. They are imposing the very same traditional values on men that they have been working to get away from.

It is so easy to believe one group of people think one way. I think if you tried having an actual conversation with different women then you might find that they do not operate on the same wave length. That would be weird and kind of boring if they did.

Not all women want men to fulfill a specific gender role while they don't fulfil one themselves - and just because you saw a video of one man interviewing one woman doesn't mean literally anything. You know that these interviewers have an angle, benefit from subscribers and ads, and just clip and post what they wanted to feature in the first place - maybe he interviewed 100 women that day who said men can live however they want and women should too, but one woman said this, he just clipped that and posted it, and now you believe this to be fact... Also this kind of thing would clearly be part of your algorithm, since you are also in a Reddit Men's Rights group! You are literally looking for this stuff.

At the same time I am sure there are women out there who do want men to fulfill a certain role and have ideas for what kind of role they want for themselves, because there are billions of women and they can all want whatever they want - if you don't like certain ideas, I am sure you can find a woman who aligns more closely with your values - - - but I hope you really think about what those values are because it seems like you want to wach videos that intentionally feature women as hypocrites (I am sure there are women hypocrites like their are man hypocrites, but the point is that that interviewer sought it out and posted it to appeal to audiences like you), complain about women, and generalize women in a public forum called ''men's rights.' Please ask yourself, why would any woman want to be with a guy who spends his time doing that?
