I’m M21 and college finished less than a year ago. My college was in my hometown, so I’ve been living with my parents the whole time. Since graduating, I’ve been working from home and honestly feel like my social life is dead. Right now I only leave the house to go to the gym or sometimes buy groceries.

Lately I’ve been thinking about moving out to a bigger city or metro city, mainly to have a better social life and meet women. In college I did a couple of cold approaches, but nothing major. Now I feel like I don’t even have the mindset to approach women because I’m still living at my parents’ house. Part of me feels like if I had my own rented place, I’d naturally feel more motivated and confident to approach women, date, and have privacy to actually spend time together.

I know some people will say you don’t need your own place or that it’s just a confidence issue, but I feel like there’s some truth to what I’m thinking.

My question is: for people who moved to a bigger city, how much did your social life and dating/sexual life actually change?
