I feel that, I struggled with approach for a long time. There’s no magic way to just get over the fear except action and practice. My best advice would be to try the app Shawty to progress in approaches and actually have something to keep you accountable so that you take action… Good luck

You're trying to skip to "what do I say" before your body is ready. The order has to be body, then brain, then words. Skip the first two and you freeze every time.

Body: power pose for two minutes before you leave the hotel. Tall, shoulders back, feet wide, head up. Cuddy's Harvard research is real, it raises testosterone and lowers cortisol.

Brain: when you spot someone you want, count down out loud. Five, four, three, two, one, go. Numbers interrupt the rumination loop. Same principle as exposure therapy.
