it is not women vs men, it is gender norms, expectations, laws and bias against men - in particular supported by women.
Patriarchy is a vague boogeyman. Matriarchy doesn't exist.

Postgender world is OK to me. Not sexless beings, but gradual extinguishing social norms related to gender. When we upload our minds in machine, gender will be irrelevant :)

It would be unfair and not practical. I believe in meritocracy and abolishing of the gender. People that are best in managing should do it regardless of sex.

I tried to be friends with feminists and find some common ground. They are almost always hostile, dogmatic and very often openly misandrist

It isn't so much women that "oppress" men, it is more that women often do not care about any problems men face because of their gender.

It isn't a matter of supporting it or not it is a matter of facing reality. As long as people go to war there will be drafts regardless of what anyone thinks about it. The problem i have with the draft is that it isn't applied equal when it comes to things like wealth and gender.

This is a stupid question. Me wanting feminism not to have existed doesn't mean that i don't want men and women to have equal rights. Feminism has never been about equality it is about female empowerment, while i have nothing against empowering females there should be an equal amount of empowering men. That last bit hasn't happened and it has put our society out of wack in terms of how we view men and women.
That really depends on what exactly you deem preferentially and important, but in western society i would say that women are treated with preference.

- In what way are women oppressing men in society? The court systems are pretty rigged against men. (I wouldn't say this is just women doing, more how the courts were made tend to view women in a different light than men when we should all be equal in the courts' views)

Female sex offenders get far less time in sentencing. They get more sympathy and privilege in the media too, their headlines say crap like “teacher sentenced for sex with minor male student” I want it to say “teacher sentenced for raping minor male Student” idc if she's a woman rape is rape.

I was 50/50 in all court cases where it's applicable.

More women are playing alimony now, but I do want that evened out.

Courts aside, I HATE ALL THIS ALPHA MALE CRAP! It's hurting and running young boys. It's giving them awful social media role models.

Women TikTok content, the DADVOCATE has some really great vids on this! Partner shaming is huge for women, filming a guy doing something you don't like with little context for thousands to shame him.

All the sex shaming guys get, both genders suck at sex who cares, but the amount of body shaming that's ok when it happens to guys but when it happens to women it's not ok. (not always but the scales here just aren't even)

The oversexualization of men, as women complain abt everything we do as women getting sexualized, (sometimes valid) but guys have their own version, where we automatically assume everything they do is sexual and creepy and they are just “always horny”

When men are violent she's the victim, but I've seen multiple men blamed for them getting abused all bc their abuser is a woman, this whole “well what did you do to make her do that” rhetoric.

I don't think there's one answer, the USA, is a mix, there's stuff that happens that's both, but there are countries out there where I think we can all agree women live in terrible situations. (like with countries where they are married off as kids, can legally be physically abused, and countries with “honor killings” that awful shit)

I don't live with misandry, it doesn't affect me. It effects men in my life I love why I care, but I will never know,

The same way my guy friends empathize but will never understand the misogyny I face firsthand. (I've experienced it in the medical system, and crap like abortion laws, and other laws harming women like me, I have 2 gynecological conditions, and I can never safely have kids on my own, I will eventually get a hysterectomy but it's really hard to get one at my age, and the medical costs. But I'm horrified seeing other women like me, even mothers who wanted to carry, dying bc of these laws, that motherlast year, who was pretty much dead, and they kept her on life support against her and her familys wishes so she could carry to term, costing her family so much money and forever traumatizing her son, that boy will never be the same seeing his mom like that. The baby was even ok. All for nothing. 13-year-old rape victims are forced to carry endangering their lives.

The grock ai being used to make fake nudes of women, they've been doing this with AI forever tho, all the fake porn of women and children. Not ok.

That group in Brazil is openly making videos about really hurting or murdering women who won't date them.

I think it's about better regulation of power, and choosing the right people who have integrity and good qualities regardless of gender.

Pro-choice. If I ever get pregnant (highly unlikely given I'm on more birth control than a horse bc of my conditions) but if I did, I'd die or the baby would. That would really suck.

Feminism did some really great things for me. Especially in its early conception. I'm very fond of my bare minimum human rights. I just don't like some toxic modern day aspects.

I live in Germany. Neither, but if I had to choose, I'd say matriarchy. We had a woman as chancellor for most of my adult life. I've seen women get all the benefits and equalities in my lifetime, while nobody cared for my problems as a man. I had to do mandatory civil service, as compensation for not doing military service, while my female peers started going to university.

I think it's on the same level. The problem is, misandry often gets discounted and not taken seriously. It is enabled, sometimes even encouraged, while misogyny gets shunned. So there is a double standard, where one is allowed, but the other isn't.

No more fighting between men and women. Coming together and lift each other up.

A society is a complex system. You can't say "group X is oppressing group Y!" becaue social groups are not monoliths. Many men oppress men, just as many women oppress women.
Neither exists. We live in a heteronormative complex that oppresses and privileges everyone, just at different times. All privilege and oppression is situational. Western society privileges men and oppresses women in some ways, and it privileges women and oppresses men in other ways. Male privilege and female privilege are both real and coexist; male oppression and female oppression are both real and coexist.
Yes, I do. When I ask women to give examples of everyday misogyny, they complain about sexist jokes in media, inequality in the boardroom, and "mansplaining." When I ask men to give examples of everyday misandry, they complain about the culture of male expendability in occupational health and safety that contributes to workplace fatalities, essentially all of which are men; disproportionate resources given to women's healthcare, even though women already have better healthcare outcomes than men; and the consistent refrain in international politics that "women are the primary victims of war," which comes from an analysis that considers only effect of war on the economic well-being of those left alive, and not the toll on the dead and injured, meaning that the analysis they cite values women's economic prospects more than men's lives. Women are being offended; men are being killed. Ironically, feminists consistently try to paint it as the opposite, but the statistics do not support their assertion.
The ideal world is one in which gender does not exist. Gender, as a concept, is a stupid. Basing social roles, expectations, and whatnot on gender is like basing them on being right or left-handed. I'm active in leftist circles where people like to say things like "all gender identities are valid," but I strongly disagree; I think all gender identities are invalid. Whether you're male, female, cisgender, transgender, or non-binary, your personal gender identity is irrelevant and of no concern to anyone else. Adding additional pronouns for non-binary and genderqueer people is a step in the wrong direction: we should get rid of gendered pronouns entirely. There should be no grammatical distinction between he and she; there should only be one third-person singular pronoun. A language in which you have to declare what your pronouns are is a failure as a language; I shouldn't need to know your gender to refer to you any more than I need to know your eye colour, dominant hand, or favourite Romantic composer.

Military conscription should not be allowed unless the sovereignty, political independence, or territorial integrity of a liberal-democratic state is being attacked, whether it's your state or an allied state. Unless a liberal democracy is being attacked, conscription should not exist. When it does exist, it should apply to everyone regardless of gender. There can be physical strength requirements that result in more men being conscripted than women overall, but gender itself should never be a consideration; strong women should be conscripted just like strong men.
Yes. In Western societies, women hold more power than men. Feminists say otherwise because they don't acknowledge soft power: being a member of the government only makes you so powerful; having the ability to convince others that you're a victim and need more resources and support set aside for you is what really makes you socially powerful. I'm pro-expert. The feminist narrative is that women should have all say in matters of abortion because they can get pregnant and men cannot. That's the genetic fallacy: the source of an idea has no bearing on its validity. A woman's thoughts on the ethics of abortion are not more valuable than a man's throughts on the same subject merely because she has a uterus and he does not. What matters is the depth of understanding that the person has on the subject. If it were up to me, the legality of abortion would be left to experts in medical ethics. I would enact a law saying that "a foetus is a person except insofar as the Ethics Committee of the College of Physicians and Surgeons prescribes otherwise," and "a pregnant person has the right to terminate pregnancy in such circumstances as the Ethics Committee of the College of Physicians and Surgeons prescribes." If you want to make decisions about the legality of abortion, you should have to go to medical school and become an expert in medical ethics.
I'm an MRA because I advocate for human rights, which, contrary to what I constantly hear feminists say, includes men's rights. As for why I'm not a feminist, the title of "feminist" is meaningless. People who believe that men and women are equal and should be treated with respect regardless of gender call themselves "feminists." People who believe that women are intrinsically superior to men and that men should be exterminated in a genocide to secure a bright, female future also call themselves "feminists." Whether I'm a "feminist" is up to you, because it depends entirely on which definition you choose to use.

Taking these very loaded questions at face value…

1.) Women aren’t oppressing men in society. They do however have privileges that men do not. The use of the term oppression is misleading, as it was never a universal experience, nor a total binary. Throughout history, men have been responsible for women’s safety and wellbeing (which is why we still have divorce settlements favouring women and expectations on what engagement and wedding rings should cost).

2.) I don’t believe in either, in that the structures the restrict and control the lives of the masses are not a matter of gender, and it is foolish to suggest that the worlds ills would be solved through a gender driven change.

3.) Life is not a matter of who is the bigger victim, so asking which is worse is a facile take. I do believe misandry is far more accepted though, meaning numerous issues are entirely disregarded.

4.) Describing utopia is pointless, in that it does nothing to create it. The ideal world looks peaceful, happy, everyone is healthy, no on is poor, etc etc - the solutions to achieve this aren’t gendered though, it’s not an MRA or feminist discussion solely.

5.) Not really, although I’m not in the US, so it’s somewhat moot. The military is something that should be used as a last resort in my opinion.

6.) Depends on where the power is and how it’s wielded. Politically, I don’t think it would improve matters for men in the main though. Power should be achieved via a meritocracy, not by an agenda. There are no barriers to women seeking political or economic power (and arguably greater opportunities than exist for men).

7.) Pro choice, but it’s far more complex than the binary you present. Abortions should be permitted, but with a high bar to access - in short, being able to have an abortion is fine, using it as a form of birth control isn’t. Hard to legislate for that or manage it, but again, it’s far more nuanced than option A or option B.

8.) “Men’s Rights - for the inequalities feminism missed”. More explicitly, feminism does not seek equality where the inequality benefits women, or where resolving it would benefit men. This is dangerous at a societal level - take the example of education; boys have been falling further behind girls for at least the last 40 years. I see no valid argument that better educated boys wouldn’t make better men - I see no clamour from the feminist movement to address it either.

9.) Irrelevant question, largely because women seem to still want to live as if it hadn’t happened, in terms of safety nets. I’d prefer if feminism had some objectivity, but that would require considering men’s issues in place of being able to frame women as perennial victims.

10.) Again, an entirely circumstantial question. In the main, most people are treated equally. It’s when life goes wrong that women are given preferential treatment.

As much as you want to maintain a neutral stance, your questions are so heavily loaded that I’ve little faith your position was ever neutral - you’ve framed everything through the lens of feminism being unquestionably ‘correct’, and not even bothered to ask one simple question; “what issues do men’s rights activists want to resolve?”

I feel like this question stems from a misunderstanding of men rights activism but also woman's rights activism, it's not a specific group but society as a whole, men and woman are oppressing men and men and woman are oppressing woman. For example if a man were to act with any degree of femininity he can be expected to be judged, ridiculed, insulted and even attacked in more extreme cases. This will come from strangers but even friends and family.
We(as in everyone on earth) live in an oligarchy, and whether those incredibly rich people are men or woman matters very little, next to that it'll be mostly local, cultural or even distinct per family. In one family they might have old fashioned values or they might say the oldest is in charge. In some cultures woman lead the family and in some cultures that's men.
All discrimination is bad, trying to measure up the badness of them only serves to make people's pain seem smaller and less important, just because someone has their arm in a cast doesn't mean those with a paper cut don't still deserve a bandaid.
For a world where the distinction matters as little more than your hair colour, just another thing you got that beyond small talk nobody cares about.
Where I'm from everyone gets drafted, woman included, it's simply not compulsory. Our army is entirely made up of volunteers and should it be needed every able bodied man and woman will be expected to fight. This is probably the best system possible.
Blanket statements are hard to make, some woman would be great leaders and some horrible. In general I think it doesn't matter at all. It's really trying to make a gendered issue of things separate from gender.

You seem to think they're opposites, when in reality both groups want equal rights in all matters. They are the same. Anyone who isn't both is neither.
The very concept of people who'd prefer that disgusts me to my core, such people would have no place in modern society and should go live in a shack in the woods.
Both men and woman have certain advantages and disadvantages based on where they are. I'd say in less developed countries it's generally better to be a man and in advanced countries it's better to be a woman. Although the advantages of being a man in a bad situation is are larger than the advantages of being a woman in a good one, so to say.

Reading and answering these questions I've gotten the feeling that you are not fully aware of what men's rights, or gender egalitarianism in general really stands for. Most likely do to misrepresentation by people who were against it. As such I want to commend you for wanting to learn and understand. I dont think oppression is the right word, just some social and legal mechanisms have shifted a bit futher in one direction then needed to go.

The question feels like a victim competition between men vs women.

I do not believe in either. Making this a gender war issue is counter productive to social cohesion.

This concept for this question does create a perpetual victimhood argument.

They are equally the same, politically and socially, misandry is considered less negatively.
There is no such thing as an ideal world. There are problems and issues people do face. There should be respect on different perspectives, not a competition.
It has its place. In a peace time situation it is not needed. If your country is at war and on your lands, then it is required. The focus is to protect the next generation.

Feminism has created a perpetual victimhood model focused on patriachy and male privilege. There is also a moving of the goal posts philosophy, once something has almost been achieved, lets go further. It isnt about we made it to a certain point, lets look at how to make it work effectively.

MRA has started to adopt the perpetual victimhood model, which I deem is weakening the argument to help balance some things out.

Feminisms biggest failure is its inability to grasp and understand the difference in economic investment through population growth. They actually undermine this social strength.

Feminism is nothing more than a utility now. It still has its functions. Its relevance will weaken on population decline.
Overall yes, this can be in part due to stereotypes. Pregnancy of course, as well for things like transportation seating etc.

This does not mean men do not get preferential treatment.

The probability is a bit higher for women in certain areas.

Some large shopping chains might have 90% female floor staff. They will knock back female applicants and hire male staff to help get staff gender ratios closer to 50/50.

1: Women do not make collective decisions. The ideology that is named "feminism" is oppressing men by systemically lying and concealing evidence about their victimization, denying them resources for victima, passing laws to harm them, and spreading malicious lies about them to make women more afraid.

2: Neither. We live in a society where both men and women enforce gender conformity. Gender roles maximize women's safety at the cost of their agency and maximize men's agency at the cost of their safety.

3: Misandry is worse than misogyny because misandry literally kills and misogyny mostly hurts feelings. Misandry is the idea that women's lives are inherently valuable and men's lives are not. Women are safer than men and have been safer than men for all of human history. Misandry is when you care so little about men dying that you cannot even notice it, and demand everyone spend more time making the safest people in the world safer.

The ideal world looks like one where people are not punished for going outside their gender role, where women can get respect and men's lives have value. In a completely gender-equal world, women would be 50% of murder victims because that is how math works, and the fact feminism is repulsed by this illustrates how it is totally callous to men's lives.

5: There are few situations that warrant a draft, but when it comes up, it should be gender-neutral.

6: the concept if "if women held more power in society" is incoherent because women do not make collective decisions. The ideology named feminism already holds a great amount of power and uses it to make men's lives worse, and if it got more powerful it would do more of that.

7: I am pro-choice. About half of pro-life people are women, so it is not a gendered issue.

8: the moment I flipped was discovering that men are raped as often as women and that the ideology named feminism deliberately covers this up to continue to claim rape is faced only by women. Once you stop taking the ideology named feminism at its word, you notice how incredibly dishonest and malicious it is.

9: Your question contains assumptions that make it incoherent. The ideology named feminism is not solely or even primarily responsible for women's change in lifestyle. Industrialization is. All discrimination women faced and all rights they lacked were a process of trading away their agency for safety because sexism is in its entirety about maximizing women's safety. Industrialization made the world more wealthy and more safe, and society collectively felt that some of those restrictions were no longer relevant. The reason women used to be unable to take out loans is that they could not be held responsible for their debts. The reason they couldn't vote was that the vote was seen as coming with the responsibility of the draft. The reason their place was in the home was that it was safer there and men were responsible for their safety.

Feminism did not earn women the vote. Suffragettes did, and suffragettes were hypocrites (they explicitly demanded the right of the vote without the responsibility of the draft) but did identify something women lacked as their focus. They have no ideological continuity with feminism and feminism takes credit for them like Mormons take credit for Christianity. Feminism cannot identify problems women face because its worldview is the same as sexism, so the only victories feminism can claim for women are by taking non-gendered problems, making them worse for men, and saying they did good because now women are better off than men.

I believe that women's safety is treated preferentially and their agency is not. Every country that restricts the rights of women does so under the belief it is to keep them safe. Every culture that harms women does so under the logic it is teaching them things that will keep them safe. Any time you hear about a horrible thing happening to women somewhere, if you compare it to what is happening to men in the same place the answer is always "oh, they're getting murdered and it's happening way more."

The thing that you have to understand about the MHRM is that when we say feminism is wrong, we actually believe that feminism is actually wrong. We don't think it is correct about sexism but actually sexism is good, we believe it is incorrect about sexism. It has very important factual beliefs about the world that are not true. It is a hateful and sexist movement because it believes untrue things that make it hateful and sexist. Sexism is not a scale of "preferred" to "punished," it is a scale of "safe" to "agentic." Women are objectively safer than men and feminism is incorrect when it demands more focus on women's safety.

Feminism claims to be the belief that women should be equal, but this claim is incorrect. Feminism is an ideology with a name, and it has no name other than "feminism." The ideology named feminism has a bunch of other specific factual beliefs about what equality is and what stands in its way and those beliefs are incorrect. Feminism has deeply sexist beliefs at the very core of its worldview that leave it unable to understand or fight sexism. Several of your questions show that same bias, where you've made a huge assumption before you even asked the question that you didn't even notice. Like asking if we believe we live in a matriarchy or patriarchy, asking about if women held more power, asking about if we wanted women to live like "before" feminism. These questions only make sense in the specific and incorrect ideological framework of feminism.

This is a difficult question. As others have pointed out, a lot of the time it seems to be men supported by women. I belive (and have seen that in my environment) that woman impose gender norms on their sons - and by that I mean only the parts of them that benefit women. Women vote and make the government - no matter the sex of the person in charge - pass discriminatory laws. This includes uneven retirement age, military call up, ignoring men's issues (such as suicides) etc. Women seem to often be responsible for similar behaviour on smaller scale in companies (DEI hiring) etc.
I often hear feminist argue or imply that patriarchy means a system created for men, with many privileges granted to men and women being worse-off in every possible way. I do not think that was ever the case in Europe. If you mean a system in whic men hold more power then to some extent men still hold more power. This has little positive effect on the vast, vast majority of men.
I doubt it makes sense to wonder about that. Bot are a kind of hatred and are essentially impossible to diagnose. We never know exactly why someone supports discrimination - is it in-group bias, hatred, religious beliefs, perceived political or personal gain?
In such a world every healthy person would be expected to contribute to society and family on a more or lress equal basis. That means no one should be expected to bring more into a relationship, which is often the case with men. No one should be expected to sacrifice their lives for their country and waste a few years of their youth while another group does nothing similar. At the same time it should be emphasised that gender roles are necessary for creating healthy families and the survival of our species. Women are the only ones capable of giving birth and in practice they should not compare themselves to men professionally. They have other things at which they excel.
I live in Poland. I imagine it would be unavoidable to raise millions should Russia attack. Draft should be avoided (just like wars in general) but if we have to fight than all able-bodied people should indeed fight. Most frontline soldiers would have to be men, but women should also bear the burden of the war effort.
Yes, I am certain it would be worse. In Poland women retire at 60 (lowest out of all developed nations) and men at 65. Only 29% of women oppose this. Most men support equal defensive responsibilities, most women oppose that. Men have to lift heavier weights and get fewer benefits (e.g. free meals) than women for the same salary. We also have a 7:1 suicide ratio, one of the world highest. Men even make more suicide attempts. Most people involved in social work, psychology etc. are women, yet they could not care less. We have a femeale Minister of Equality who's done absolutely nothing when it comes to these issues. Feminists MP opposed the idea of stopping parental alienation, even though it only meant effectively executing court's orders. Have a look at European Parliament's and Commission's gender equality plans. They only mention problems women face. They outright mock men's issues by talking about homelessness or war as if they were women's issues... even though only a small minority of the people affected by these are women, as the documents admit.
I am currently not sure about my stance.
Feminism is built upon a belief that all women were oppressed and all men were privileged oppressors. This is simply false. What stems from that is the idea that "gender equality" means just improving women's wellbeing. This is exactly what the EU is still doing, as described above. I do no think feminism has anything to do with equality or fairness. It is even in the name - "feminism".
It is impossible to imagine XXI century with partially XVIII century standards. This would just never happen. Overall, I think that some changes were necessary and probably beneficial. There definitely are issues only women or mostly women face and fighting these is obviously a noble cause. In many cases men's issues are intertwined with women's and both should be taken seriously. Obviously the government is responsible for people of both sexes as well. Feminism could be overall positive if it came from a genuine desire of introducing equality.
Most? Probably not. Especially when you take into account that there are a lot of muslim countries. I do not have deep knowledge about most countries, but it seems quite likely that women get better treatment in most, if not all, developed countries.

None. Matriarchy would mean women have responsibilities, but they dont. They expect men to have responsibilities and they have power.
Misandry is more common. Which is worse its victims points and we should get rid of both, not X is worse than Y, so doing Y its fine.

When man have power at least his wife/lover get something from it. When woman have power its only for her and sometimes for other women. Women already have more power in society, thats why when you ask feminist they always bring XX years ago, like it have effect on women who never lived in those times. They also omit how men have those XX years ago, but not THE men who hold power, the men who are in same position as those women.

Depend on what you look like. When you take feminist definition of feminism - I am feminist.
Since the begining it was ultra-rich push and even women doesnt like it. Not to mention prominent feminist say that "we cant give women a choice", so how I could agree with those poeple?
Western ones - yes. Thats why feminism only exist there
