I stopped all masturbation and and porn for 1 year: That did nothing to change my dating-life.
I got lean and stopped eating bullshit: In general, people treat me better - including women show more interest earlier on. It makes things easier.
Increased social skills: This improved my dating-life the most. I would say 80-90% of my improved dating-life can be attributed to this, specifically just shooting my shot more often.

dating apps made it so girls barely have to leave the house for attention anymore, so cold approach needs to hit different if you wanna stand out.

all of these things have value but to me the one with the least amount is the social skills

you either attract women to you or you have to approach them. social skills are for guys who have to approach women and when you’re in that territory you’re relying extensively on volume.

Let's go piece by piece.

Stopped porn: Zero benefit. I was more motivated, but also too invested because I had no alternative release. If anything, I think this was detrimental. 0/10.
Got lean: I started out REAL overweight, so losing some weight helped a lot. Aggressive diminishing returns after ~20% body fat, and my personality was still trash so no results. So let's say 7/10 if you're fat, 4 if not.
Increased social skills. 10/10. Made such a difference that nothing else felt like it even matters in comparison.

Stopping this will not increase your attractiveness or success on any direct way. However, I found it did two positive indirect benefits. First, I was more motivated to do what it took to get the real thing. Second, I enjoyed sex more.
Health, diet, and exercise directly affect your attractiveness. And a million other benefits.
Social skills and practice make a massive difference. Treat every encounter like practice.

I was in an 8 year relationship. Starting lifting and taking fitness seriously right when I entered it. Started TRT about a year ago.

We broke up about 4 months ago. First thing that happened was the hottest girl I’ve been with(a co/worker) found out I was single and came up to me, wanting to hang out. 2 months after being single. Banged her. Cut it off. Didn’t want a relationship and she did.

Well, downloading apps has been a fucking crazy difference between before my relationship and after. I have a huge pick of the litter. Maybe not all of them, of course, but I get 20x as many matches. I get girls messaging me first. I get girls taking it to the next step VS me having to chase the next step.

And I’m 5’9, bald(happened before TRT), and I feel like a bit above average. But the 6 pack really draws them in.

The issue with this is that my matches are less…connection heavy? They really just want eye candy now and someone jacked to fuck. They don’t want to actually get to know me, go on dates, have fun, etc. like when I was much fatter.

Whenever I go on 3+ weeks of no masturbation and no porn, I become very confident, energetic, my words flow better and it becomes easier to walk up and chat. Call it bro science or what, but it helps me with attraction tremendously. Every time I go on 3+ weeks streak and I hit the club, I at least get to make out with one girl that night.
