I feel the same way.

Women and children is just saying everyone but a man. There is no other way to go about it, it only excludes one group.

I also despise it too but you genuinely can't get someone to see your value. Before there used to be hope that when they become mothers they gain a bit of empathy. Now its a trend for women to talk about how badly they are going to beat their son if he doesn't treat a girl right so currently even mothers have turned against their son.

But what can we do? The feminism hate train is too rampant and they don't want to listen to reason. The most we can do is try to get men to care about men, but men just don't seem to have the same in group bias which is good and bad. Good because you shouldn't side with someone just because they belong to your group but bad because it means men don't have the same amount of backup or support.

It’s intentionally exclusionary. I agree that it might be a stretch to call it hate speech and I think a lot of people would argue that it’s not.

If the genders were reversed it would easily be labeled as hate speech and weaponized against men and boys, but that’s one of the biggest issues I have with feminism and I don’t think matching their energy is a good idea.

History is portrayed as if gender norms are rooted in hate towards women and that’s not the case. They claim people in this sub are motivated by hate towards women and that’s not the case. So I think it’s important to let words and their consequences speak for themselves instead of attaching motivation and malice to the people repeating them.

It’s pretty clear that there is malicious intent in “women and girls” when it’s used by sources like the UN to report trafficking victims. They intentionally exclude men and boys as victims and make them out to be perpetrators. But their abuse of power is so normalized and accepted that their data and reports are read with trust and bias. It makes it sound ridiculous to label as hate speech to people who don’t see it that way.

I think it’s better to attack the information. No one likes to be manipulated or fooled and the current narrative is built on distorted and careful framing to manipulate information and fool people. If people realized they were being propagandized and misled by people in positions of authority and influence they’re more likely to see the problem for what it is.

Most people don’t believe they hate men and boys, so calling it hate speech just leads to defensiveness. They have all this data and evidence that validates how they feel so they’re not going to listen or care if you say exclusive language is hate speech. They need to question their evidence and data and sources so they come to the conclusion themselves.

Personally, the phrase is not what is infuriating, the inconsistency is. It would be better for them to choose, whether they want to be a child or an adult, so accountability, laws, expectations, policy, etc. are applied accordingly, and less convoluted.

There is no yes or no answer that accurately serves every context.

If someone is using it to describe or organize a specific group of people, like for example: “I need all the women and girls to get on this side of the room, all the men to the left side, and all the boys to the right” Then that’s obviously not hate speech.

Someone has to be malicious and hateful towards someone to qualify as hate speech, and at that point, women and girls would just be who it was targeted at- but only the hateful stuff is hate speech.

I mean, I can’t tell if some of these posts are supposed to be satire or if it’s feminists trolling to mess around with us- but what man seriously has to wonder about something like this? Personally, I’ve never said anything hateful about women and girls. If you have then you have. But you can don’t have to be hateful just because you’re talking about women and girls.

I think it's negative for both sides tbh.On one hand, letting men on a life boat(im using this as my example) after all the women and children /girls is quite stupid because men do deserve to live.

but it's also undermining women because they need to be infantalisted and be damsels in distress that are in need of saving and incapable of doing it themselves
