Going through a divorce with an NPD wife after 26 years of marriage abuse. She filed in mid March and I spent the rest of March and most of April/May fighting to keep her. Stupid, I know.

By the end of May I realized I deserved better and started working on getting this finalized and getting what is rightfully mine. I’m pro se still and doing just fine on my own (it’s all just disclosure and discovery at this point anyway). Throughout this whole process she has broken just about every standing law rule in the statute (some more than once) and initially refused to see me, speak to me over the phone or text me. Strictly email. Now she has even killed email communication like I’m some kind of danger which is really stupid because we own a business together and both of our commercial leases are due for renewal soon.

I don’t know what happened, but I assume when I asked her lawyer the other day why a bank account she has and her very active Venmo history wasn’t provided to me as it should have in the initial disclosure, the lawyer must have had enough of her BS and dropped a huge additional retainer on her.

She emailed today telling me she has new representation now and will no longer “directly communicate with me via email.” She advised that everything would go through her new counsel. This should be fun. I’ve got about 20 unanswered questions regarding our business activities, marketing objectives, new hires etc. Stupid Stupid Stupid move.

I still love her as the mother of my children so I’m not going to needlessly waste her attorney’s time/her retainer, but GOOD LORD, what an expensive way to communicate. First question I’m going to ask (through her new attorney)is why she did a cash advance for $5000 on our business Amex. I’m sure they will know exactly where that money went without even having to ask her🤣

Stay positive fellas. Divorce is hell but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun from time to time. 🤙🏻
