I've been on a similar speed dating before, but with far fewer people.
Last time, there were jars with questions inside, and we were able to talk for 2-3 minutes. But then, at the end of the speed dating, no one of the organizers took names, and everyone dispersed. Some went back to talk to the girls they were most interested in. Honestly, if this has to go like this, I know it can't work. I could barely remember the names, even though there were less than 10 girls, and I can't go back to talking to more than one, especially if I don’t
know if there's interest.
It did not went bad for this first speed dating, because I wasn't interested in any girl (and a few looked interested in me). On the other hand, I saw potential. These events tend to be attended by the shyest and most introverted girls. I might objectively get along better with them, personality-wise.
I have trouble getting to know people naturally because I'm also very introverted. Young people I can get to know naturally don't go to church, and at sporadic national events, I never address anyone first.
I thought it would be ideal to give a note with a social contact or a business card during speed dating, so if someone is interested they can show it to me and add me. But I don't know if that's perceived as weird.
Any ideas?
