Sadly not. If everyone considered it satire I'd probably be laughing along with them, but the majority of their demographic are heavily invested in reading it as gospel. There's just the right amount of lies, half truths and scapegoating to convince uneducated people lacking in critical thinking skills of anything the daily mail execs wish. It generates hatred over inconsequential matters and redirects attention from genuine problems. The readers will cheer when the government starts selling off the NHS, cuts tax benefits for the lower/middle classes and lowers corporate tax because the daily mail tells them this country's problems are the fault of immigrants and welfare cheats not the fault of the slimeball politicians and bankers. Tabloids have a scary impact on this countries population, The Sun pretty much signal handedly swung the election for David Cameron.

It say it's analogous to the the cosmo readers who believe the patriarchy is the reason they aren't a CEO.

I apologize for both the length of this post, and the lack of depth, and at times it seems to be awfully fragmented, but it is late and I have to pick just the highlights from my experiences of which I could literally write a book. If things aren't coherent enough, just ask and I will try to elaborate.

Some quick background to start with, I was born the 4th generation of a strict christian family.

It was something of an unspoken tradition of my family to go to the same christian College, find a S.O. get married, and raise a family. My grandparents (on both sides) met there, as did my parents. It was basically a mainstream cult, that is, nobody considers it a cult, but I sure as hell feel like it was.

My father happened to meet my mother at the very same christian college in the mid 80's, and for whatever reason, decided that marrying someone who was more controlling and dominant than he was a good idea.

My mother, has many, many, many family issues that she was generous enough to pass on to me as well. My grandmother attempted to kill herself along with my mother and her brothers, my grandfather was a sociopath from what information I have been able to collect so far, and they all have this weird obsession with becoming accepted in American Indian circles, despite being less that 1/4 Cherokee at best.

Anyway, this family history and fucked up childhood, coupled with a strong sense of feminism my mother had (she was determined to become a pioneer female clergy in this particular denomination and eventually became an ordained pastor) pushed her to become a major control freak from hell. My father is now basically nothing but an empty shell of a man, completely and utterly submissive to my mother.

Growing up, I was raised with the idea that women would love me as long as I showed how friendly and respectful I was, as long as I kept myself pure, as long as I never attempted to make out or pursue a physical relationship of any kind, god would plop a loyal woman into my lap. Throughout high school I didn't even date, much less kiss a girl. After I graduated I encountered failure after failure in any relationship I pursued, eventually I came to realize that even "wholesome" christian women were not immune to hypergamy and Alpha Fucks, Beta Bucks philosophy. I finally gave up and married the first desperate woman I could find, regardless of her immense past sexual history, and my virginity.

My mother is now so controlling, that after my inevitable divorce, she attempted to take custody of my son. I now have primary custody of my son (his mother was found neglectful, I really found a real golden nugget with that one...) and have no longer any desire to be in contact with my parents in any way. Luckily, my grandparents, aunts, and uncles are all supportive and had already basically been cut off from communication by my cunt of a mother by that time anyway.

Writing this, I know I likely come across extremely bitter, but really, I am now happier than I ever have been in my life. I have my son, I work out at the gym 3 times a week, I have a great job with plenty of upward mobility, I have loyal male friends, and I enjoy the company of women and am no longer angry at them for being women. They are the way they are because that is how our species has evolved and survived and passed on the strongest of genetics, and I no longer unfairly hold women to the expectations I once had when I unjustly placed them on such a high pedestal.

Very interesting story. I figured it was something like that. What I never understand, is that while many dominant men temper their dominance with compassion for their more submissive wives, you don't see that same temperance as much from women. It's like people don't realize that just because you have power, well that doesn't mean you should set it to max and abuse the hell out of it.

It kind of reminds me of the gender dynamics portrayed in Frank Herbert's Dune, where both of Paul's parents are very powerful people, but in different ways. In fact, the mother is more powerful than the father, even though she appears submissive to him, and even though he's armed against her tricks, she could completely control him, but she recognizes that this would destroy the man she loves, so she refrains, and in any event, SPOILER ALERT, this leads to disaster. That series is very redpill in a lot of ways because of how the struggle for dominance between the genders is portrayed. Women rule in a number of ways in the series, but more successful from behind the scenes, or at least using subtle pressures rather than outright militarism, which comes into play in the final books of the series.

Its not they are educated, its that you are less of a prize for their hypergamy when they are educated.

The answer obviously, is to maintain your lead, if not in education, in some other way(even emotional maturity counts). Be even smarter than they are. I personally have no problem with intelligent women, I am successful and confident enough and most importantly, experienced enough in the real world to hold a woman's attention, then respect, to eventually create admiration(aka the beginning of infatuation) plus I wouldn't be attracted to someone my own age.

The non-redpill comfort answer would be to pick a dumb wife. But then you are trading an interesting existence with an interesting partner and your own self-improvement and success well, for the illusion of loyalty(because just face it, if you're a prize to her, count on the fact that there are others on the social ladder much higher than you). You've probably read some of the advice on how to game married women, right? Its based on selling the fact that you are higher-value and calm her hamster into believing you are the safe, logical branch to swing to, one that's right for her. That's the general principle, the details may lie in the sex, your behaviour, your familiarity with her, the story you sell, the parts of her existing relationship you let her highlight, or whatever, but the fact is, a woman is vulnerable to this stuff. And like it or not, an insecure enough man who picks an idiot is likely to have it backfire, because she's more vulnerable to this stuff than most. Idiots are more likely than informed people to listen to solely their emotions. They really have fewer other voices in their head.

Problem is that who initiated legal proceedings doesn't actually tell you anything about who the divorce is the fault of. My parents got divorced when my dad moved out - partially under my prodding to do so, and it was blatantly clear things were just going to get worse and never get better, and I wanted out as well.

My dad moved, but my mother filed for divorce. The reason was simple - my mother stood to start getting child support the sooner they were divorced, whereas my dad would have to start paying child support when the divorce became official.

Of course, somehow despite the fact that I lived with my dad full time, and my brother lived with my mom but my dad had partial custody, somehow my dad ended up paying my mother child support. Also, did you know that in divorce they can keep whoever they want out of the courtroom? I couldn't even sit in on it.

The interesting thing is that based on the stats, the likelihood of women getting primary or joint custody post-divorce accounts of 60% of the motivation of them filing for divorce, with primary custody accounting for the lion's share of the effect. The logic is that even though the women comes off poorer, they have more freedom to control their lives and the lives of their children.

It's easy to hamster that these dudes the women are divorcing are just living it up while their wives slave away at home, and let's not pretend it doesn't happen. What's more likely is that dude is on some beta bux status, and homegirl wants a life of her own. Hence, the dude is getting screwed.

And FWIW, I filed for separation and custody, knowing I could easily win both. Guess who is dragging their heels to not sign the final paperwork and make it final. Hmmm...

EDIT: I missed it before, but the largest factor that seems to inhibit divorce is the father getting custody. LOL

We are getting increasingly speculative here, I am merely pointing out some tangible points. I think kids are a damn good reason to control ones urges (if you can't then don't be a parent, women have responsibilities here too). Kids have a right to full access to both parents, as well as their combined resources, but nobody is talking about their rights. splitting means single parenting one parent at a time. And as kids get older (and anytime really) they don't need that hassle of bouncing between two homes, never having a "true" sense of home, it is still putting parents first.

Women, then children first does seem to apply, despite how biased it is, which is why we need #YesAllCats. And generally men are taught expectations like honor, loyalty, and valor (lest they be branded cowards) while women are taught their shit don't stink and they belong on a pedestal and endless whining will get them what they want. I'm generalizing of course, but hopefully food for thought.

For the record, I was the one who filed and fought for and won custody. Ultimately I stopped giving the ex a pussypass on her behavior, but wasn't going to keep feeding a SAHM who refused to go back to work after 10 years and ultimately decided she was entitled to have a notorious and ongoing affair to boot. It was costly and a hard fight, but that is how bad it got before I was willing to pull the trigger. Without kids I would have booted her much sooner.
