I posit that feminism's focus on safe space is what has caused it to become divorced from its original egalitarian goals.

I do see safe spaces as very important for handling victims of sexual and domestic violence, and for general individual expression. I believe this is true for both genders.

It's when these safe spaces become the context in which policy is discussed and decided upon that there becomes an issue. I absolutely recognize that this was necessary in the early women's rights movement due to the social climate, but it isn't the case any longer and any movement that protects it secludes itself from criticism in such fashion for 90 years is bound to lose touch with reality.
