Hi guys, I need advice on how to best handle this. And yes, I'm a woman which I figure adds to the problem, maybe, as I can't fully understand how it is to be a man in this climate. Also, I live in Sweden and yeah... Things are pretty messed up here O.O

I'm studying at a 'university' and it is filled with feminism and is left leaning overall. Even had professors stating that "free will does not exist" and also, the literature comes with statements like "selfish, privileged white men". Overall, it pisses me off.

This interaction took place before christmas and I keep thinking about it. During a lunch break I started to talk to two guys that was in my class, 19 and 20 years old. The 19 year old did not say much, introverted and shy but the 20 year old and I ended up in discussing school, society and feminism. We did agree overall how messed up somethings are but he still thought that feminism is needed.

I used basically two arguments, circumcision being one and also that if you take everything that is said about white men and switch it with any other group, you can hear how bizarre most statements are. This got met with him basically putting his hands up, like when you surrender, and saying "I as a white privileged man should not speak about that".

It baffled me, to say the least. He is essentially telling himself, and others, that because he is a white man, he is not allowed to have an opinion. Or thoughts, feelings really. That is a level of brainwash that sadens me. Now this was not the last time he made statements like that, sort of when he is met with an argument that is difficult to rebuttal he just goes back to that 'he as a white privileged man'. When he is met with statistics about sexual assult, rape, domestic violence he can agree to some level but still, in the end, don't want to portray his opinions about it. Because he is a 'white privileged man'.

Now is there anything at all that I can do?! I mean, he doesn't have to agree with me but it is like discussing with a wall that wants to knock itself down. Is there anything I can do to break this brainwash? Especially considring he is in an environment that feeds into his already existing worldview, that he as a man is not allowed to speak up.

Another situation was with a guy I'm in class with right now. He said "I'm stupied because I'm a man". Not a perfect quote but that is the essence of it. Now when we talked about that he could agree with me how problematic that statement is. Not only that he talks himself down but also a whole group. Mostly bringing this up as it seems to be a thing now. Men apologising for having a brain or think of themself as stupied.

What can I do? Links I can send? Sites I can guide them to? Better arguments that I can use? How can I help them realize that they are worth existing as well?

Thank you for your help and time.
