Whenever I post a link, the post always gets removed, so maybe go look for it.

Esther Perel is kind of like a female Jordan Peterson, or maybe a modern-day Dr. Ruth. It seems that women listen to her, and agree with her, even though she is speaking the same truths that men have already been saying.

She was recently on Oprah. It was very enlightening. First, I haven't seen the Oprah show in decades. I literally didn't know that she still even did a show. But, the stage setup has Esther completely surrounded by women - on all sides, and the way her and Oprah are positioned is very similar to how people on popular podcasts are situated.

The topic was about relationships today. "Oh, boy," I thought. "Here we go with more false 'slay qween' affirmation". Nope. Esther laid it out.

They also showed various TikToks from women who complained about dating today, and they also had that same person in the audience to speak about it with Esther, in front of everyone.

There were several shocking moments where Esther would say something, and you would hear the audience of women gasp. But, there was one in particular that was especially poignant. I'll recreate it from memory.

26-year old woman: "I want a man to be intellectual, and ambitious, and have a good family, and be a good cook. Surely there is a man out there that checks all these boxes."

Esther: "That is a myth. You want a man to be an excellent communicator, and a great lover, and want children, and be good with them, and a great cook, and protect you, and be your chauffer. You need to lessen your expectations."

Mic drop. Gasps.

She goes on to say, "Look, when I want to talk, I talk with my own girlfriends. I don't put that responsibility on a man. When I want to go shopping, I don't expect that a man would want to go with me. You are expecting one person to provide what it takes an entire village to provide".

Esther then went on to say something equivalent to, "Even if you found that man who had prepared himself for you, what you have you done to prepare yourself for him?" More audience gasps.

That is just a taste of it. I was just wondering if anyone else caught any parts of it that they wanted to bring up.
