I've been divorced for a little over a year. Tried dating early on, it didn't go as well as I might have hoped, but let it go for a while. I think it was probably a good thing, and allowed me time to emotionally heal.

Now, I'm starting to get back into it. /r/theredpill puts into words the things that I've been feeling for a while. TRP also fills out the areas where I didn't realize it applies. So, putting it to the test, I changed my thoughts, mindset, and outlook and jumped back in.

So now, there's no being nice here. No false flattery. I know what I want, and I'm not going to waste a lot of time on plates who don't want the same thing.

Previous contacts have turned into nothing. So today, I get a new contact. I change how I'm looking at things. I don't make idle chit-chat about the weather. I am not trying to find out how she got to where she is. I just ask her when she has some time. She says "What about breakfast. Where would you like to take me?" I respond with "Where would I like to take you?" She writes back with "Well, most of the men I meet either take me to lunch or something and we chat, and then see where it goes from there" I say "That's interesting to know." There's a whole bunch of unspoken assumptions in what she's saying, and I'm not buying into any of it anymore. She responds "Why is that interesting? Most men start when they want to meet a woman on a first date or meet up or whatever you want to call it." I finish with "Are you looking for someone to buy you breakfast, or something else?"

I hear nothing back, figuring I've probably pushed it too far, but I'm just putting TRP into practice, and you can't make an omelette without breaking a few plates. 3 hours later, she writes back, "I'm looking for a relationship."
