The bisexuality factor is a red herring here. You are not bonded to the person you dated for 6 months. Admit this to yourself first and to him next, then sort out where you want to go next relationship wise.

Being bisexual is kind of irrelevant to this situation. The true issue here is whether you're going to be honest about you wanting to have sex with other people (male or female).

Do your boyfriend a favor and break up with him if you feel that strongly about having romantic relationships with others.

If you want some flings but don't want to cheat because you don't want to hurt your boyfriend or brand yourself a cheater, you have two options.

The first, is imposing some kind of limits onto yourself to help you from keeping your eyes from wandering. Focus on him and find every opportunity possible to release your sexual tension on your boyfriend. Your second option is to simply ask your boyfriend if he's wants a threesome. Or whatever flavor of fling it is you want. But here you have to be more careful - communication is especially important. You can't go off behind his back, tell him who you have your eyes on, where you're planning on going, who you're with, etc. And you have to be prepared to drop this lifestyle the instant he feels uncomfortable.

Are you able to respect your boyfriend enough and see a future with him. If he's just someone you have sex with then breakup or else you'll resent being with him later on in life and it'll ruin the relationship. If you do decide that your boyfriend is the one you want to be with then you need to take responsibility. If you know there is a chance you might cheat in a particular situation then leave that place at once. In the end of the day you have self control and can overcome those urges and no one can tell you otherwise. Don't let yourself make up excuses for cheating. Maybe you're bisexual and its harder but that doesn't mean you act on them. There are temptations all over and everyone faces them. You just have to acknowledge (just temptations) it for what they are and move on. Keep distracted. Something that involves more mind concentration so you don't have that much time to dwell on your thoughts. Spend more time people you aren't attracted to. Elders and relatives maybe.

You mentioned that it got worse after getting off the pill. Maybe going back on it will help. The reality is that high testosterone + no sex = straying eye. There's a reason male occasional infidelity by powerful men has been overlooked for most of history, and that's because the exact traits that lead to men becoming powerful (high capability + high test) lead to infidelity.

You have both the opportunity and desire (at least on some level) to cheat. You can possibly make life easier on yourself by mitigating the desire.

Unpopularity-time for me, but I'd rather point this out than not.

FWIW, one of the longest lasting and most stable relationships I know is a 14 year open relationship comprising a high-T bisexual woman and a high-T heterosexual man. They are basically a married couple, but both of them have sexual needs far beyond their emotional bonding. They have set boundaries, only indulge together or when the other approves it, and never get in emotional or financial relationships with the girls they see. And it's worked for 14 years, which is longer than the majority of relationships you will see in flairs on here. Weird and unconventional, but it works for them.

Not saying this because I think it will work for you too (only you can truly decide what you actually want], but to show that others in your exact situation have developed unconventional workarounds that brought about lasting relationships. Quite simply put: Conventional advice does not necessarily always play out for people in very unconventional situations. Try r/altTRP for better advice on your situation.
