When a girl defines herself as "sassy", and speaks using the terminology that accompanies that identity, trust that she's using the identity and the terminology to insulate herself from responsibility for her behavior, no matter how rude, narcissistic, or horrendous. Can you believe she wants you to celebrate this with her?

In fact, the whole spectrum of identities and terminologies that modern women have available for them to adopt, whether "feminist" or "queer" or "polyamorous" or "vegan" or "free" or "independent" or "sex-positive" or "whatever", all have the same basic function of insulating women from responsibility for their behavior.

The prototype for all of these identities is the religious fanatic. It would be obvious if she said, "I believe in Scientology. Because I believe in Scientology I get to behave in these ways, no matter how repulsive, and you can say nothing about it.", but people rarely possess such self knowledge. Instead, they typically sound like this guy.

Don't pay attention to the surface level of the words, but the power they carry underneath them. On the surface level, her identity might be "polyamorous", and she might express herself by saying, "I don't define my relationships in terms of oppressive patriarchal frameworks", and being an idiot you might nod in agreement, but you can bet your ass that what she really wants is all the cock she can get without the condemnation that attends being a slut.

You have to start recognizing that people announce their horrible intentions in terms that have the power to conceal that horror from others, and even themselves. So when a girl says she's sassy, never forget that every such statement has a shadow meaning behind it, and it ain't gonna be pretty. Take a look at those .gifs she sent you. She wishes she were more like those people. Absurdly vain, entirely self-absorbed, completely allergic to responsibility, and entirely without reason, science, logic, or philosophy.

Why the fuck do you want to be anywhere near that? Anything you say to her is just talking to yourself. Anything she says to you is just bullshit. Run.

For everyone who isn't 'sassy' it does mean 'bitchy', but it's supposed to be cute or some shit. I just tell the bitch thats she's being a bitch, and that 'sassy'ness isn't a real thing, and not something she should aspire to be.

Dude, I have found sassy chicks to be easy game. That shit is a candy coat shell, and a somewhat-effective defense mechanism to only those who don't have the salt to stand toe to toe a few rounds with them. A&A, always.

My girlfriend is known as a 'sassy momma' when she gets slightly intoxicated. Usually by my group of friends when we all hang together. And it's not a negative attribute in anyway. They just find it hilarious that once she starts having a few drinks, she gets slightly louder then usual, and she has the 'sassy momma' type aura around her (she's part hispanic). It mostly because she gets very energetic, and happy, and just completely at peace with life so she's super chill to just hang with and the type of stuff she sais makes you want to be like "whoa chill sassy momma" and then laugh about it.

Edit: sassy women is often attributed with bitchiness and annoying attitude. This is not at all how my girl gets. I'd compare it to a 5 year old little girl that's just a little too full of themselves but everyone knows it's harmless and thinks it's cute.

These are rationalization code words women use to make their behavior sound acceptable. Powertalk and all that bullshit. Develop a filter and learn to recognize it.

A scandalous bitch would be "confidant and opinionated."

A whore would be "liberated and adventurous"

A single mother would be "independent and strong"

A radical feminist would be all of the above with the word "oppressed" added somewhere.

A chick once thanked me for calling her a bitch because "a bitch is a confidant and opinionated woman who losers like you can't handle." my reply, "Is that a fact? The english definition states that I just called you a female dog. Now sit bitch! Sit!"

I've found that using sassy as a replacing for bitchy can be extremely effective in dismissing bitchy behavior.

For instance, if a girls fat friend is giving you attitude, you can amusingly comment "well aren't you sassy."

In a social context where calling a girl bitchy would be too confrontational, "sassy" gets the point across.

Dude, here's a good time to use a condescending tone and approach. Sassy is a word for little kids, so you should call it out that way. Just tell her:

"When you say "sassy" I hear "bitchy." I don't want to waste my time putting up with a bitch."

And just see what she says. She'll try to justify or argue or whatever. Just hold your ground and say:

"Look, i'm really not open to discussion on this. say what you want. maybe this just my little hangup or whatever. but that's how it is. I'm just not gonna put up with bitchy bullshit. And everytime you say "sassy," it sounds like dumbshit code for "bitchy." I want to be with a chick whose nice to me. period."

The point is to be really fucking clear what you want. Really fucking clear what you're not gonna put up with. and ... this is one of those times to be totally condescending and like, just totally dickish in describing what you DONT want. This is not the time for nuance and fairness, it's not grey area. It's:

"Fuck that shit i hate bitchiness. period. if you want to be that way, fine. There's tons of chicks out there. anyway, I'd rather be alone than deal with that shit. I am absolutely not at all open to negotiation on this."

I took that attitude on a couple issues with my current GF. You know what. She's sweet almost all the time. The stuff i said i wouldn't put up with--she avoids that shit like the plague. And I am pretty flexible on most other stuff. I'ts like, forcing her to decide if she wants to be in a relationship and what your non-negotiables are. And that you're not interested in kind of give and take on this issue, it's just "fuck that shit i wont have it in my life."

Some thoughts.

-Text her. three words: "not into sassy." Do not reply to anything she sends until the next day.

-When you inevitably hook up with her, pull out and demand she apologize for sassing you. Doesn't matter what the truth is at all, at this point: if you got her turned on enough, she'll give in and apologize just to get you back inside her. Then a little later, smack her ass and call her a "sassy bitch."

You two can have so much for with this.
