In my life I have the option of getting a veteran service dog / PTSD dog if I want one. It was not a good idea in mine and my s/o's opinion year ago with a small baby and living in a townhouse. But now she has the idea of a puppy.... All this is is a shit test. But it's an interesting one. I have shut it down once with a strict and absolute no, but it has come back again a month later. My first thought is to say, we aren't getting a puppy until we are sure we aren't getting a divorce. But I have not responded yet and likely won't until I get home.

Does anyone think that they want for a puppy could be from a lack of affection or some other need for warm feels?
