Talk to her ASAP, and since she already knows... when she asks, just keep it vague with something like, “yeah I’m just having a tough day for no good reason.” Then, change the subject. It’s the truth, because it really isn’t a good reason to mess up your day.

She already knows you’re butt hurt over that situation, so all you can do is STFU about it. You have failed the shit test, but do not vocalize anything about that situation.. That’s your only redemption.

If she brings it up, that is just confirmation the whole thing was a shit test. At that point, turn it back with her with questions like “ what makes you think I was thinking about that situation?” Use fogging, pressure flips, maybe a little A&A etc. Mostly STFU though since I suspect your frame cracks will show worse and you might DEER

Sounds like you don't have any frame. You are just reacting to your wife. Nothing wrong with having emotions, sometimes they tell us important things about ourselves. You can't really control your emotions only how you react to them.

Just let it go and proceed as if it never happened. Before you can "maintain" frame you have to develop your frame, become your mental point of origin. One day when your wife tells you a joke you will be able to just laugh and the only emotion you feel will be pleasure.

Tell her that's it's a busy day today and leave it at that. Take the day to hit the gym, meditate, and even journal your thoughts about the situation.

Sometimes if I have something stuck in my head that I just can't get out, I'll write a rant about it. The next day or even a few hours later when I re-read it, I kind of chuckle at myself for being so upset about something minuscule.

You need to let that one thing go. Move past it. Write it down and burn the page or type out a letter and then put it in the recycle bin. Whatever. If you don't learn to let it go, you're constantly going to be hurting your frame.
