We are in Delhi for a week and today we went to some interesting place. We barely got out of the subway when she started complaining she is tired and hot and not feeling well in general. I asked if she would be okay to walk a little further since we already made it all the way so she agreed.

We went on a little further when I started a conversation with a guy who looked like he could speak decent English, to ask a few questions about the place, and he turnee out to be an interesting person. In the middle of the conversation she asks if he knows where is the nearest place to get a cab and when he starts explaining she hangs on me and whines like a fucking 3 year old! It was embarrassing so I quickly thanked him and took her away telling her she is embarrassing and acting like a child.

If it was a friendlier city I would have called her a cab and sent her alone to the hotel, but in a place like Delhi I had no choice but to take her back myself wasting half a day of a quite expensive trip. She did not have any particular sickness other then being tired and on the verge of period and this is far from being the first time she acts liked that.

I said nothing and showed no anger towards her except for the immediate response about how she acted in front of the man we were talking with. In the days we have left, I am thinking to just notify her of my plans and let her join only if she really wants, otherwise leaving her at the hotel. I don't want her to waste any more of the time that I have left on this awesome city. How should I proceed? How could I have handled it better?

EDIT: my main issue is how to stop (if possible) things like this from happening because they happen a lot in a setting mush more friendly then Delhi.
