I am about a year in to this mrp thing and I have been a stay at home for last two and a half years. Now I am looking into getting a job, but part of me is telling myself it is not worth the effort yet.

Little background about my situation. Two and a half years ago we decided to move to a new town. My wife got a temp job pretty soon. So I told her to kill it and I will take care of the kids and build us a house. That's what we did and I finished the house and she got a permanent position and a promotion. Now she has a pretty solid, slightly intense, but good paying job.

Situation now is that I have done pretty much everything I can think of to save money at home. You can only do so much yourself. Next logical move would be to get a job, but here is the problem. I don't live in the U.S. and I won't get in to the benefit/expense system where I live. No matter how I calculate this, there is nothing to be made unless I get a high paying intense job. Both of us working those kind of jobs would mean 9 hour daycare and little to no holidays for the youngest kid.

I'd appreciate your thoughts on this.
