To me, it says something negative about someone's character who will get drunk and have sex with complete strangers. Quite frankly, the way sex is viewed these days disgusts me.

Agreed. It has nothing to do with gender (although I think for men the number of women's sexually partners tends to have a lot more bearing on how they look at them) because any decent woman would be daunted by a man who had up to RECENTLY been partying, drinking, doing drugs, sleeping with random dudes and, I reverse-gender quote, having been: "on all four[s] with ~~dicks~~ vaginas of completely random ~~guys~~ chicks in ~~her~~ his mouth". That's gross. Just gross. If he's honestly having doubts he needs to follow his intuition, I think, and break up with her before he gets really hurt and BAD.

Situations like that are how good men get ruined.

That top comment, which was given gold, is infuriating. Also, so many people are saying "It doesn't matter what she did with her body before being with you. Get over it." How many threads have there been where a guy states he was with prostitutes, or lost his virginity to one, then asks if that would bother potential partners? They treated those guys like total garbage. The double-standard/hamster is unbelievable. As for the virginity-lost-to-prostitutes examples, the majority of women can just let guys come to them and choose to make sex happen with a yes or no. A guy has to do a lot more. Of course, they ignore that.

And the fact that they're insulting this guy is crazy. There is so much projection in that thread, women putting him down to feel better about their past, present, and future rides on the carousel.

As a man, I'm going to chime in here with a "yes, it IS his problem." We set standards for ourselves, no one else. We choose the company we keep based on those standards, no one else.

If a man elevates a woman to the status of his significant other, if he chooses her as his partner, whether he says it out loud or not he is making a statement he accepts (maybe doesn't like, but accepts) her past behavior. It appears this young man has chosen to stay with his girlfriend and make her troubling past his own. While her standards for herself are troubling to say the very least, he's now past the point where shaming and negative actions toward her are acceptable - if the situation is unacceptable, he knows where the door is.

I don't shame people who party and have sex as long as they are doing it ethically. With that said, the issue is compatibility. If you are someone who prefers a different relationship style , more attached relationships and have fewer partners, there's nothing wrong with wanting something similar in a partner. So if you're a guy or girl that has had 5 or so partners nothing wrong with not wanting to date someone randomly doing sex at parties.

The guy needs to make a decision with wether he can accept her past and still be compatible or weather their differences are to great and he feels the need to leave. A lot of this will depend on her attitude during her relationships , ie is she honest, feminine and genuine with him?
