I'd like to encourage you that there is a whole, functioning, real-world outside of OLD apps (if you want to be a part of it).

Where quality men meet quality women (in person), ask them on dates, marry them and they didn't use an app or website.... Even in your 30's, 40's and beyond. I'm 34.

If you're like me, and never meet or get talked to by men "in real life", I challenge you to ask yourself a few uncomfortable questions before proceeding.

  1. Are you (proactively) making female friends?
  2. Do you make an effort to be friendly and approachable?
  3. Do you talk to people, or wait to be talked to in all scenarios?
  4. Are you interested in other people?
  5. Are you pursuing an actual hobby?
  6. Do you have a community?

Some things I am doing...

  • I joined a large church (10k+ members). Bigger churches are meat markets. They tend to segregate their members into life stages (Single, Marrieds, 20's, etc.) I challenge myself to talk to one person every time I go. As an introvert with diagnosed social anxiety, this is not easy. I go at twice a week (to Sunday service and a social group).
  • I paid to join a social club. I was terrified to go myself, but am challenging myself. I go alone and eat alone. I registered for social events at the club.
  • I started a Meetup.com group. I was shocked that 6 men attended my first meetup, not any women. I'm creating and hosting at least one monthly event. I have over 100 members in my meetup group since starting it a month ago.

I know deep down, that I just don't want to meet my life partner on a dating app.

I'm leveling up and making room. :)
