Foh. This is why it’s necessary to require clarity before engaging with them at all. Sometimes they legitimately do not know what they want, which is fine, but don’t let them figure it out on your time.

This is also why you shouldn’t chase relationships or titles. It’s truly NOT a gift, honor or privilege to be in a relationship with a man. He has all the proving to do so any hesitation on his part should be an instant disqualifier.

The only time I ignored it, was the first time I heard it and didn’t know what it meant yet. And it came to bite me on the ass, because 8 months down the line it was all over, when the dude reiterated the “friendship” thus demoting me (after we both met each other’s families and friends). He said that it was me who rushed into it, and if it was up to him, we’d still be developing a fRiEnDsHiP, EIGHT MONTHS later, and that’s us in the late 30s.
