Last Thursday, I was petting my neighbour's cat in front of my house when this girl approached me. I knew her from a year ago (bought something at the store she worked at), we were clearly attracted to each other but the one time I tried to make something happen she ignored me, so I stopped trying. We only talked three times in a year, each time only for a minute or two.

Anyway, when she saw me last week, she instantly hung up her phone and came to kiss me. The small talk went so well that after a few minutes I tried to make an instant date. I suggested we grab a drink but she gave an excuse. So, I gave her my card and told her to hit me up if she changes her mind.

Two days later she sent me a text. Some flirting and I decided not to waste time :

"We could not talk for very long last time we saw each other.."

Four days later she responded : "Indeed, I was busy then".

"Come to my city Friday or Saturday afternoon, we'll have tea together"

"I'm not available"

After such a dry response, I decided it was not a shit test and was basically done :

"Ok, hit me up when you are"

One hour later :

"I have a boyfriend"

Well this I considered a shit test...

"Only one?"

"Yes, why do you ask ?"

And I decided to send a very risky text which at the moment I found very humorous :

"I understand. We should not talk to each other then. This Friday at 3, I'll be with the cat in front of my house, do not happen to pass by at this time or we could bump into each other"

She responded that she is in a relationship, that I misunderstood her and that I must be very stupid to think anything I try will work.

In my mind, it was a funny way to not make it an official date, but I guess it triggered her ASD hard and had the opposite effect. Am I dumb or what ? How would you have proceeded ?
