The equivalent would be the nice guy without money movement, looking for casual sex. Redefining being nervous, unconfident and poor as the "new sexy."

we need the onion to do this

I find that females will always find a scapegoat for their own personal insecurities.

Do you mean having the daily soy latte and cookie is a female physiological tendency?

[–]MockingDead 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In 'murrica it is.

God, when I think of all the bad things I did when I was ignorant - willfully ignorant - of nutrition.

[–]pugderpants -4 points-3 points-2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No.

[+]Aughin -8 points-7 points-6 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This is true. Average body fat percentage is much higher in average women than in average men. And this is not because of lifestyle. Even female athletes have a higher %

[–]UnpluggedMaestro 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But women have boobs while men don't, so it's not like they're doomed to be whales.

[–]LegalPusher 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But so what? Attractive women aren't expected to have a six pack or sharply-defined muscles. If you merely looked at the body fat percentage number, a thin sexy woman would have the same % as a man with a huge beer gut - except hers is distributed to her breasts and spread out as a smooth soft layer of subcutaneous fat. (She would have a much lower weight/BMI, though.)

"to look like [Kang] does is (for most people) completely doable, if you are willing to sacrifice most of the things that you love. And I wasn’t willing to do that. I don’t know about you, but I really enjoy hanging out with my kids, sleeping in on the weekends, eating what I want and when I want and having the occasional night out with the girls."

"So to improve yourself is completely doable, but I'm too lazy to sacrifice a single part of my feel-good lifestyle to do that improvement."

Instead of jumping over the bar, it's easier to sit here, piss and moan, and complain that the bar is too high, so that maybe someone will hold the bar down for me to walk over (and walk over them in the process).

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fucking lazy as shit. I love those things too, that's why I have a four pack rather than a six pack. It's not an excuse to just be a fat fuck!!!

[–]SeekRed 32 points33 points34 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

If she is happy and proud the way she is and wants to show off her body to the world then why can't Maria Kang be entitled to that same privilege?

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 39 points40 points41 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Because Kang makes MEEEE feel bad.

[–]Camo47 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think you re-define beauty, because I'm fat too. Fit people are bullshit!

[–]chill_geddy 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

YOU GO GIRL!!! Hahaha

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points23 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Working out 3 days a week and eating normal healthy amounts of food at a slight calorie deficit does not require much work...

[–]LegalPusher 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even making a slight adjustment to "eating what I want and when I want" ought to be enough. She can get exercise playing with her kids outdoors. Since they're probably on the couch playing video games and getting fat and/or popping amphetamines for their ADHD, it would be win-win.

[–]PerniciousOne 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They can attempt to redefine "fat, wrinkles, and cellulite" as beautiful, but that word can be bastardized into all of those things.

You will not want to sleep with a "beautiful" woman at that point anymore anyways, you will go for the hot, healthy, woman instead.

[–]ATBlanchard 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This article seeps with irresponsibility. The overarching message is "when you fail, instead of admitting your failure and trying to improve, you should just try to convince everyone else that you actually didn't fail"

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Does she actually want to lose weight? Forget discussing how easy it is to exercise 20-30 minutes a day at least 3 times per week. Forget discussing self-motivation and accountability.

STOP. EATING. SO. DAMN. MUCH.

Just "exercise" some self-control and watch the improvement happen naturally.

[–]TheMadWoodcutter 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. I figure 90% of weight loss comes down to watching what goes in your face hole. If you want to lose the weight you don't have to sacrifice time in order to do so, you just have to eat less. It's not rocket science.

[–]jeff_jizzr 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The comments to that article are unbelievably defensive to anyone who even mildly challenges what they want to hear. This mad, solipsistic world they live in, where beauty can be declared by fiat.

I'm on a quest to redefine unemployed as "rich".

[–]wrez[S] 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is physically lazy, dangerous and unhealthy.

I'm disgusted!

[–]Evers89 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Meh I've seen bigger 18 year old broads. At least she's got that going for her.

[–]diamened 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Those who try to fight against reality usually learn that reality always wins. Sometimes the lesson is painfull.

[–]GrantNexus 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The thing is that: even if she gets a bunch of 'BBW's to join a vocal mutual denial club, guys are going to pass on them for the young lovelies anyhow.

[–]1ireallyamnothere 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Looking at her photo I think she could easily be back in pretty good shape if she dedicated half a year to physical fitness. And as a bonus she would be demonstrating healthy lifestyle choices to her children.

Of course that would require that she wants to be healthier, have a stronger body, more energy, better muscle tone, better blood flow, better mood, better sex, higher quality sleep, reduced risk of heart disease, reduced risk of osteoporosis, reduced risk of type 2 diabetes, and all of the other well-documented benefits of having a healthy, fit body.

Instead she wants to make a point.

[–]12FAM0US 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Her cellulite is so beautiful. I love that soft fat, I wish I could just sink my teeth into! And who can forget those wrinkles, they are a sign of such maturity... Sure is a shame she is so big and strong, because that intimidates me

[–]Meterus 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, she just can't handle weak men!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She's just being the change she wishes to see in the world

[–]MahlerNinth 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

At this rate, the headline "Overweight Mother on a quest to avoid the second and third helpings of ice cream" will only ever appear in The Onion.

[–]VaginalAssaultRifles -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It won't there either. The Onion only does feminist-approved satire.

[–]MockingDead 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

grabs flour Alright, let's do this...

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If she put as much time and energy trying to change what was viewed as attractive into actually looking attractive, she'd be attractive.

[–]ihavespellingproblem 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I read this article and its comments on RoK this morning about women and facebook. How social networks serve a bad job encouraging bullshit because they turned in to a weird place where disagreement and criticism is on par with stealing bread from starving children.
So as a result we get crap like this. Delusional, pointless and humiliating. It's sad to see people make a fool out themselves just because a bunch of crazy landwhales approved it.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I remember seeing a quote by some poster on RPW who said "Men will see a mountain and climb it. Women will declare that where they stand is the new mountaintop".

Truest shit I ever read, except you can extend it to a lot of men in modern society too.

[–]troll_bot_v1 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can't really call them "men" if they have that attitude

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oooohhhhhh, see, I thought I liked skinny, pretty women because they're attractive, now telling me that the opposite is true is totally going to bypass what I naturally find attractive. Because it's my mind only that finds women attractive, my eyes have nothing to do with it.

This is false.

Not everyone is beautiful.

There are ugly people and beautiful people.

One of my Sifu's said this.
