I would go for stubble instead of a full-grown beard. You have a nice shaped chin, so I wouldn't grow the beard so long that you can't make out its shape anymore. Get a beard trimmer and use it on one of the lower settings. I typically also use one setting lower for my mustache and sideburns.

Looks aren't the "be all, end all" that you seem to think.

The fact that you are worried that its your LOOKS that are holding you back, coupled with the way you are reacting to the rejections is very revealing.

Based on your looks, you should be able to pull 7s-10s if you are talking to them right and taking enough chances.
