It matters because people have voting patterns based on their demographic, and women are going to vote for certain causes more than men would. Does it matter a lot? I would argue no. People who voted for Trump in the election wanted The Wall, where is their wall?

The upper-class intelligentsia and professionals have more impact on political discourse and on what happens, and they directly drive popular movements. Those are the people with the power to shape trends and politics, some of them are women but overwhelmingly it is male.

The tax gap between men and women outstrips the earnings gap. The benefits gap does too. The spending gap is even greater. Of course it matters, but that doesn't mean it will always be the decisive factor in results.

. voting is relatively easy and can be done with a with a quick registration that takes about 5 minutes and maybe 10 minutes to actually vote . Most people who aren't voting are doing so out of apathy (Unless you live in a majority black neighborhood in a state run by Republicans , they will do everything they xan to make voting as difficult for you as possible).

The most staunch Trump supporters that I have met were all women....and on a recently trip to DC to conduct a seminar, I took a walk down thru the Smithsonian and noticed a long line of women\girls standing awaiting their turns to take a selfie in front the life size cutouts of Trump and Melanie in the American Presidential wing.

Just know that the bubble in which so many reddit users live and in which CNN\MSNBC and other media live where ALL women are uniformly Trump haters is more about the bubble than about the Trump.

Now as to your other question...not surprising in that most men are going about getting shit done on their own efforts and have less need to try to influence government to take care of them...they don't see government as the great fallback husband\daddy upon which to turn. If anything for most men it is more of a nuisance which has to be overcome or dealt with...men look to their OWN efforts so voting isn't usually one of their main focuses.

Anyone who has actually dealt with government knows that it is wasteful, tedious and unproductive...usually more interested in meeting guidelines and protocols than in actually getting anything done for communities or for people...the number of times you will hear "that is the just way government does thing" when it takes 8 people, 5 signatures, 10 request forms and 3 conferences to decide on where to hold lunch is tiresome and not how men operate. Which is why it wasn't much surprise to most Economics \Finance consultants when the Obamacare web project wasn't ready on go-live, cost 100x what it would have cost a private company to build and frankly was just a complete clusterfuck....(but the manual they put together was fucking gold standard, the actual product didn't work but all the guidelines and standards were met so it was a rousing success to those involved)

The most obvious example is that Donald Trump won the 2016 election and a slight majority of white women voters were in favor of Trump, against Hillary, a white woman.

a slight majority of white women voted for Trump. but overall women favored Clinton over Trump by about a 12 point margin because minority women overwhelmingly voted for Clinton.

Women have stronger in-group biases than men do. Doesn't matter what party they are, the bias is still there. Also, women are net tax recipients, so it's pretty telling that proportionally, more women are liberal than conservative. Gotta get the nanny state to take care of you after all, no need for hard work when you can just take money from "the rich."

I think it matters, because feminists should be framing the issue of patriarchy around women.

You make a good point OP. Conservative women, though, by virtue of being conservative and hence classically feminine, aren't out there blowharding about gender issues the way liberal women do (when they're not blowharding a dozen multiethnic cocks). Hence, conservative women don't factor in as much to the manospherean psyche. The loudest voices are the ones that dominate the conversation.

The real problem is feminist women, they are the ones currently pushing radical bullshit like there being no such thing as biological sex or gender differences, all straight men are rapey, all white men are oppressive, we need to throw open the floodgates and allow unrestricted immigration and unlimited welfare, etc. At this stage in the game, men are thinking "if we take back their voting rights maybe they will go back to badgering us about that and stop complaining about micro-aggressions and manspreading, and let me simply live my life." This would make all women collateral damage though, and as you point out that's not fair.

What we really need to do is only strip away the rights of liberal women... and perhaps liberal ""'""""""""men""''"''''"" as well. That would truly solve the problem for good.
