No because before the sexual revolution youthful female n count didnt exist. Men cared about virginity if anything. Women routinely openly had multiple suitors openly competing for their hands. In the storied 50s girls routinely went in a date with one boy friday and another saturday. They were expected to not be "putting out" so it was not looked at askance

Men have expected women to be virgins at marriage throughout history. Probably not so much in western societies in the 70s and 80s, but they still expected the count to be much lower than today.

N-count only matters in the context of a longterm commited monogomous relationship in the modern western world.. It's the instinctual anti-cucking mechanism. For short term FWB style relationships it means nothing. How could a high n-count suddenly not matter to men: have a society where everyone fucks everyone else and raises each other's children together. Good luck with that though.

Men may have wanted that, but there are equal numbers of men and women so they didn't all get it. My (paternal) grandmother was pregnant by her cousin when she met my grandfather. He told her that if she gave the baby up for adoption, he would marry her. She did, so he did.

My maternal grandfather was born the year before his legal parents got married. Family gossip says that his biological father was the guy who owned the castle she worked at as a maid. I'll bet this one was even more common than the first one.

Given how much virginity was prized and how adultery was the death penalty it is clear men have always been concerned with n count.

Since the 60's we have had staggering numbers of high n count women created. In the late 90's men finally took note and began comparing notes. The ride stopped with me too but most women are still scrambling for a chair between their time spent "having fun" (banging Chad on the bathroom after the slow song)!
