I believe in the generational cohort theory - that people are strongly influenced by events that happen around the time they are becoming adults. Thus, someone who graduated college before September 11, 2001 vs. someone who was still in high school at that time would view the world quite differently.

The same is true with Trump and #MeToo. In the space of one year, we elected a president who bragged about sexual assault; then an internet movement arose to counter sexual assault. Think about how that must have affected the dorm room conversations of freshman college women. For instance, is Trump viewed as a new role model, or does this give "white knights" a certain amount of status if they oppose him? Will women be overall less likely to want sex, since men are pigs? If anyone happens to personally know (or actually is!) a woman in this age group, I hope you will let us know.
