Of course both is best I'm sure, but I mean if you could only pick one? I'd assume for hookups it's looks and for an LTR or even short term one, actually being young would win out.

Imagine this: Jeff is 25 but has a couple fine lines from never wearing sunscreen and a little thinning hairline since baldness runs in the family could pass for like mid 30s, while Tim is 35 but thanks to good genes and an awesome skincare routine still looks mid 20s.

All other factors aside assuming they both are chill guys with great personalities, even if at first glance Jeff might be a turnoff if he's beginning to look like a dad/older guy, once you know he's young I'd imagine he'd grow on you. Likewise even if Tim is likely to turn more heads, after you learn he's older than you thought, the attraction would go bye bye!

Which leads me to my next question...

If everything else about a dude is perfect, for women in age gap relationships: do differences in the pop culture you grew up with as kids, or references and just shared experiences of the world ever make it awkward or turn you off?

Even though I'm born in 1985, because I have a hella good memory and am really nostalgic and a huge retro nerd (though progressive and liberal too) I fear it makes me "sound older" too. I may be an early Millennial but there's gotta be times my music taste makes me sound like a freaking baby boomer or certainly Gen X! (I do think I'm kinda Gen X though like many 80s babies lol)
