Why do all men have to be the same? Obviously happy, faithful, monogamous men exist. Obviously promiscuous men who love their lifestyles exist.

Saying all men have some genetic need to sleep around is a massive cop-out for men who want to pretend they're monogamous when deep down they know they aren't, and a cop-out for anyone who wants to make excuses for them.

When males were exposed successively to the same female six times, we saw no change in ejaculate parameters between the first and sixth exposures to the same female. However, ejaculate volume and total motile sperm count significantly increased when males were exposed to a novel female. Time to ejaculation also decreased significantly upon exposure to a novel female. Thus, our results suggest that human males ejaculate more quickly and invest more in ejaculates with novel females.

No, that doesn't mean men can't bond with a single woman. You really can't dumb down human behavior to one neural pathway. Even for that dopamine pathway, affection and desire for a partner still releases a stronger dopamine release than with a random woman.

But bonding and commitment are much bigger and complicated phenomena than this one thing.
