Lol the truth is the opposite. Most men that wind up on TRP were too submissive and that made them fail in the sexual marketplace so they need TRP to teach them to be more dominant and boy do they hate that fact.

Much of the anger at woman is submissive men pissed that they can't be submissive and succeed with woman. They blame woman for that.

I think you're mixing up "submissive as a character trait" (which runs the whole gamut from obedient, eager to please, shy, passive, non-assertive, non-aggressive, indecisive, meek, etc.) of the submissive woman (henceforth SW) and "being a sub" (which is the kink of getting off on being subjugated sexually), even though the two don't have too much to do with one another.

the SW doesn't challenge you on purpose, the sub needs the challenge
the SW has aforementioned pushover traits, the sub oftentimes can be quite catty and aggressive
the SW is easily intimidated and easily afraid, the sub relishes being kept on edge
the SW isn't in it for the abuse, the sub is looking for exactly that
the SW wants to be lead, the sub wants to be forced
the SW can be reasonably friendly or at least neutral towards men she isn't attracted to, the sub tends to despise men she considers unattractive (aka weak)
and so on

Now of course there are various shades of grey between the two (no pun intended) where the submissive women also fetishizes her own submissiveness, but generally there's a difference between kink and character.

"Submissive" has two distinct denotations. One is in the BDSM sense and the other is more general description of the relationship dynamic. TRP usually refers to the latter but many times in uplifting terms such as the "captain and first mate".

Men want a woman who will defer to them, rather than being a carpet to walk on.

Back in the day I had a variety of BDSM relationships where I would do (delightfully) horrible things to the girl in the moment, but day to day it was a different story.

OTOH, my current LTR isn't into BDSM but she will do pretty much anything I ask of her.

TRP guys want more of the latter. Men are tired of shit tests and drama and if you want to use the word "manipulate" well, so be it but there are a lot of more applicable words that don't have the negative conotation.

I think it's the opposite way around. The dominant male/submissive woman dynamic is natural, and the BDSM crowd are using "kink" as a socially acceptable way of expressing this.
