Currently, California Penal Code 261 defines rape as an unlawful “act of sexual intercourse.” The victim was allegedly penetrated by Turner’s finger; the crime was classified as sexual assault. However A.B. 701 will re-define rape to include all forms of nonconsensual sexual assault.

So, I normally don't normally become startled by things about Rape, but given this has reached the highest levels of US government this needs a discussion.

So, this seems like a pretty extreme measure, given sexual assault and rape are really two distinct crimes.

Discussion Points:

  1. Why would sexual assault be considered rape? Is this right?

  2. Does this give credit to the idea there is an anti-male bias in the government or liberal governments to be specific?

  3. Would you consider a guy who pinched a girl's ass in a party worthy of a rape charge?

Feel free to bring up anything else. Hard to even wrap my mind around this given they are two separate actions...
