Any community has aspects of being a circle jerk. It is natural for people to experience confirmation bias and an ingroup outgroup bias which contributes to a circle jerk. So those on r/bluepill for example is a circle jerk against red pill.

It IS a circle jerk, the post quality has gone down, and dissenting opinions get shut down and admonished. Happens to most forums and groups. It's unfortunate. Why do you think I don't post there? There's no debate or discourse there anymore, like a few years ago, just their own form of thought police.

I agree, that subreddit a cycle-jerk/ echo chamber - given the demographic and the way Reddit is set up, that's not really surprising either. It's also the reason I haven't been there in forever.

TRP might be a circle jerk, but at least they allow dissenting opinions to post on the sub regularly. Contrast that with 'ask feminists', who claim to want an honest and intelligent discourse, but will instantly BAN you for saying anything that runs contrary to their narrative.
