Whenever I am in a situation with a woman and can't immediately think how I should proceed, I consider coming here to ask. Then I see all the guys asking how to deal with A, B, or C. It's always the same pattern: problem - - > /r/asktrp. I believe I figured out what the issue is.

Learning on a case-by-case basis is an extremely ineffective way of learning. There is a lack of universal guiding principles for us to apply.

"How do I answer this text? How do I deal with an LTR? What do I say if she says X? What do I do if she does Y?" Asking questions about every case reveals the need for better guidelines so that one can think for himself and arrive at a satisfactory conclusion. I can't help but notice that I don't have a set of principles I can follow at all times and solve my problems. I am an avid reader of this sub and other RP materials and still feel clueless as to how to act in countless situations. I've read and memorized lots of lists of "rules" from the most recommended sources here (Beige Phillip, Rollo Tomassi, Pook...), and although I've internalized many of them, it's almost never applicable to my cases. I feel like an infant in spite of all the PUA and RP knowledge I've gathered in the last 6 to 7 years, like being in 7th grade and still not being able to add properly.

How can we develop simple, few principles that can be applied to nearly all cases so that we can find the answers by ourselves, without having to ask the community for answers to every individual case?
