Hopefully this counts as "disagreement" but okay, rape will never be 0% eradicated, just like murder will never be 0% eradicated. However, there are many cultures in which rape is far more prevalent than in the US, which means there are cultural and societal factors to it. These cultures, incidentally, are the cultures in which women are more likely to be seen as property. What's funny to me is that many of my fellow feminists don't want to say anything about it because they don't want to be culturally insensitive but it's a real issue and admitting that culture and society have a LOT to do with the amount of rape will help lower the amount of rape in the US.

But just because it will never go away, that doesn't mean you can't attempt to curb it and try to make it happen less... which is exactly what feminists try to do.

No, it will never go away. There will always be sociopaths and strangers in alleys and violent, sadistic assholes.

Rape/consent eduction isn't meant to stop those guys, because really, nothing is going to stop those guys. Instead it's meant to clear up some of the "gray areas" where consent can be violated, sometimes without the perpetrator even intending to do so. Education can absolutely help us reduce those instances.

And before anyone jumps on me for saying all men or rapists or something, I'm also in favor of teaching women (and men for that matter) to take reasonable precautions, drink responsibly and be assertive when they want a sexual encounter to stop.
