I disagree. Whenever a handsome dude talks on reddit or elsewhere they seem to be operating under the impression that getting girls is easy for anyone, and if youre failing at it, must be some huge character deficiency on your part.

Most people default to believing whatever boosts their ego the most.

Incels blame a crooked world for their utter failure rather than looking within.

Young attractive females think the problems effecting young attractive females are the most important sexual issues of the day.

Beta males cling to the idea that they will find the One who loves him for himself. If he just keeps being himself everything will sort itself out.

Everyone believes whats convenient and flattering towards themselves.

Personally, I find that many people of all persuasions are in complete denial about looks.

While many factors can contribute to attraction, looks remain the primary arbiter of attraction. Nothing will ever change that. That was even the case in the pre-SMP society, but in a society that places such an emphasis on sexuality, appearance and edifice, of course looks are going to be important.

While we should all try to make the best of ourselves, the reality is that there isn't that much you can do to improve your appearance. Yes, you can be in the best shape possible. Yes, you can 'groom' yourself. Yes, you can dress well. But you can do all of these things, and it's not going to elevate an unremarkable guy to the upper echelons of attractiveness. It just isn't, no matter what anyone says.

The most successful people in any field tend to be those who are genetically blessed. We like to emphasise hard work and commitment and all of these noble qualities that our society values. And it is true that talent alone won't be enough to achieve success.

I have done reasonably well in my own field, certainly better than I expected. And I could sit here, as really successful people often do, and state that it was all due to my work ethic and imply that anyone can achieve this.

But the reality is that I know I was the best writer in my school when I was 7. I know that I was already recognised to have exceptional, outlier intelligence. I know that they took me off the main school reading programme and made me read adult novels and Shakespeare instead. I know that I was given a gift, and have thankfully managed to make the most of it, although I assure you that it can be extremely alienating and challenging to be told at a young age that you're different. I wouldn't wish it on other people.

You will generally find, with a few exceptions, that it is the genetically blessed men who are the most successful, beginning at a young age, and continuing throughout their lives. Some take it for granted so much that they let themselves go and lose their looks.

But that is the tide that the rest of us are swimming against. And that doesn't mean you should just give up and drown, definitely not, but it would be stupid to deny that the tide exists.

I think that being bluepilled about looks doesn't mean that looks doesn't matter to the majority of people, it means that even if you don't look attractive conventionally, there will be someone out there who finds you attractive, and that's what matters.

Keep in mind that BP/RP is different than Alpha/Beta/Omega (Sigma or whatever). Blue Pill is all about being a nice guy and loving me for me. Red Pill acknowledges our more base instincts to know that looks matter A LOT.

In fact, most Alpha males are Blue Pill and simply cruise through life without understanding why they have it so easy.

I've seen it happen so many times: Alpha Chad High School Quarterback pairs up with Suzie Cheerleader, but then they BOTH "hit the wall" and get into that fat and married dynamic.

He gets a dad bod and belly; she gets a fat ass. They probably have 2.1 kids. And then at 40 they divorce.

Looks don't matter as much as people think they do. How you look matters more than what you look like.

The halo effect is a real thing, but there is also a reverse halo effect. Some people are attractive to others until they open their mouths and some people are attractive looking because of their personality. You know like wife/husband goggles.

If you love yourself, you'll make yourself look good too because you'll take care of yourself!
