the major difference between mainstream Anglosphere feminism and mainstream Continental Euro feminism (didn't check latin american feminism yet) is that the first is sex positive aka favorable to prostitution and pornography. they even coined the acronym Swerf (sex workers exclusionary feminists) to indicate and tacitly condemn those feminists who don't agree with their stances on sex work. it's true that many of them criticize the objectification of women and that quite often includes also pornography but everyone who's a bit familiar with feminists knows how incoherence and lack of ideological consistency are common fixtures in their movement. they might be against certain aspects of pornography but they are not 100% against it like Continental Euro and Scandinavian feminists. my personal explanation for this difference is that in the Anglosphere feminism is much more politically relevant than anywhere else (with the exception of Sweden) and the elites and politicians who support it and use it as political currency had to make it more palatable to the masses, re-inventing it in the 80s as a sex positive movement unlike it was in the 70s when Andrea Dworkin and Catharine McKinnon shaped it as a sexphobic ideology. To me it was quite surprising to notice how even the most rabid man hating feminists like Laurie Penny, Amanda Marcotte or Lindsey West are sex positive.
