No, The study suggests that women value sex, or more over see sex as something valuable, and feel dissatisfied if they feel sex is cheap.

I can only speculate that this is because sex appeal and the power of sex is important to women, and they don't like to see it demeaned or brought to a low value, or somehow make less important.

This study ultimately leads me to believe that they (women) want sex to be seen as valuable because it is one of their main weapons/tools? I don't know if that is the right word but I think you know what I'm talking about. They don't want to demean the value of something they control? maybe?

Of course not, but it does support the idea that people may have implicit, vested interests that may be based on their demographics. It's fairly clear that sex & childbearing/rearing are the vested interests of women as a group. This is a very simple explanation for all the "being a mom is the hardest job in the world" sentiment you see bandied around. Women, as a group, have a lot to gain from these two things being valued, irrespective on how much/little they are respected at the moment.

I think this is fascinating, and it explains so much why there is such a feminist push-back to sexualized women in videogames, on TV, and on posters. It isn't some kind of cultural imperative OR anything inherently harmful, just the natural female reaction to what appears to be the devaluation of sex which is construed as a devaluation of their personal worth.

It makes so much sense! This is why feminists can never explain WHY sexual objectification is such a bad thing, and can only counter it with "Do you see men being presented this way?" and "There is a beauty standard for women!" All they know is that it makes them feel bad, and if it makes them feel bad there must be something wrong with it.

No. Women are biologically conditioned to associate sex with resources because more resources are what gives their children a better chance for survival. These days, though, women are perfectly capable of earning these resources themselves rather than being a whore or golddigger and only acquiring them in that way.

Also, a whore or golddigger is someone who wants resources from a man without doing much in return other than spreading her legs. Even the traditional woman who did not have a career was never like this as there is all kinds of work that she did in the household that entitled her to a share of these resources.
