Tinder does exaggerate this effect. Think of it this way, if almost every girl was swiping right to every single guy... wouldn't you only contact the best of the best either? I know I would. Going for highest available quality is human nature. Women having the selection power is basic biology.

This is kind of how it works in real life. If any of you guys had a friend who looked like a male model you'd know. They have what you'd call '0 game' cause they don't need to. They just walk up and say hi.

This doesn't prove that looks are more important for women than men. All it shows is that on a hookup app like tinder, where girls have tons of matches every day and nothing else to really go on but looks, the best looking guys do best and have more leeway when it comes to game. That shouldn't be shocking to anyone on this sub.

We've had countless of threads which deal which this issue in the past, and also how online dating apps like tinder affect the mating game as a whole.

It's nothing new, that you need to look at least decent and have some well resembled fotos, in order to be successful on tinder and those alike. How do you want to built attraction on an app with a selection process, which solely focuses on the looks?

It's also nothing new, that looking good, will greatly increase your chances and broaden your audience. If you look like a greek demi-god, you can afford to have some flaws in your game.

Guys on the other hand will mostly just swipe left on any girl and start selecting by the quality of their matches.

You say you have 15 matches a day on Tinder, that's no big deal, anybody can have that many, it doesn't mean those 15 are good looking.

I think looks matter more for girls tbh. Feels is the phenomenon to blame.

Tinder is just a fuck app, the only way you'll be giving feels is if you're hot. If you have your mind set on what sort of hot/handsome will allow you to slay (tinder) why not aspire towards attaining it?

I don't get it. The guy is clearly tongue in cheek and the girls clearly see that. If anything he's actually demonstrating decent game. I'd be curious to see how they would respond to an average guy using the same lines. I'd also be curious to see how they would respond if the hot guy sent needy, supplicating and pathetic messages. That is the type of stuff that really turns women off.

Looks matter to both parties, normally men more since a woman's selling point is only her beauty and how close she is to her biological prime. However, due to women having an inflated SMV, especially thanks to online dating, they have expectations of finding a man way beyond their own leagues.

The importance of looks is dependent on the context. Of course looks are supreme in online dating; that's about all people have to filter others with.

In real life, looks are still much more important to girls than society says they are, but good game still gives you a shot. I think this experiment is nearly valueless as the messages demonstrate both looks and good game as the funny rape message gives off a "I don't give a fuck" attitude (abundance mentality).

A more interesting Tinder/OkCupid experiment would be to pair up a great looking profile picture with lame game, and a below average looking picture with great game.

Women have always been the gate keepers of sex. because of their biology they have to be selective.

Good looks on a primal level translate to good genes. when a woman finally decides to settle down and make-a-da baby she's out of comission for 9 months, where as for a guy he's out of commission for like 9 minutes lol.

and of course those 9 months turn into anywhere from 18-22 years (lately).

Proof this is wrong, using Tinder:

Youtube social experiment you can look up...female model goes on Tinder, gets 5 dates, goes to the dates in a fat suit. Guys' reaction: They call her out, they leave, they get weirded out. 4 guys leave, 1 BP Nice Guy stays. Alternatively, male model goes on Tinder, gets 5 dates, goes in a fat suit. Girls' reaction: They get weirded out for a moment then relax because his confidence and game is that of a fucking male model who's gotten female attention since hitting puberty. All the dates go really well, they don't care. Eventually when they bring it up, he casually says he put on a "few pounds" and they're just like "Oh alright!"
