I would think it's some kind of subconscious caveman thing, "He can protect me and our children". Now I don't know about them finding men that regularly get into fights attractive, but they definitely find a man that can beat someone's ass attractive.

I almost never get into fights and I have quite an aggressive personality.

Most of the time I just stare at them with a blank face and they don't do shit. Getting into a fight if a guy attacks you, of course I would too.

But most of the time if you get into a fight: you give off an aggressive, tense, irritated vibe. Instead of relaxed. A lot of it happens because of jealousy. A guy hits on someone's girlfriend, etc.

Guys I know get into fights every week and they are far from RP.

IMO an alpha guy would only fight if his position is questioned/attacked.

Yes. I think the sexual attraction women feel towards physical aggression taps into our primal nature. Women also love to be the prize. If two guys (especially two alphas) are physically fighting over her she must be important and worthwhile.

Look at this common scenario: A man and his girl go to the club together. They eventually both split and join their group of friends. At some point, the girl is alone (maybe at the bar) and another guy approaches her hoping to pull. The girl immediately runs to her boyfriend saying things like "He's trying to fuck me!" and sends her boyfriend to physically confront the guy.

It reinforces her ideals. She is worth fighting for. He will protect me from anything. Everyone wants me.

It's true, but a lot of the women who are turned on by this are violent themselves. They usually come from abusive households. I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule though.

This is just what I've seen working at night clubs, and interacting with these women.

Yes, they love it. And you don't even have to win the fight. There's a whole lot of guys who turns into assholes when they drink and ALWAYS get their asses kicked. None of these guys go home alone. Does anybody on this sub know any violent asshole who DOESN'T have a girl to fuck?

The problem is other guys being too soft. If somebody fights you, you've got to obliterate the dude and of course never de-escalate a hostile situation.

I'd say yes, but it's not necessary. If you're going to get into a fight in front of a bunch of women, you'll want to win, but there are also many ways to avoid the situation altogether. She doesn't need to see you win a fight if you already give her tingles.

Playing devil's advocate here, but you're perpetuating several negative myths about men.

1st scenario:

Your uber-popular high school guy was probably a football team captain, violent, strong asshole

This makes it sound like violence and being obnoxious are good qualities for anyone. It makes it sound like every single high school "jock" (an all-inclusive label to begin with) is obnoxious and violent. When anyone looks at that, not only do they know it's immediately false (there are many athletic people who are not violent; I'd say more so than regular people), but also people know that--for most people--those aren't good qualities to have.

2nd scenario: This scenario does not have any context. If you've witnessed that many fights, you're not around people that value intelligence and hard work.

3rd scenario: No context again. This tells no details about the wife's and husband's personalities. It sounds like they value self-respect, but don't understand it. How does this effect (some of) this subreddit? Here's a bit of seasoned wisdom:

TL;DR People want what they don't have. If people are fighting over self-respect, you're around people who have no self-respect. They are placing value on a person because they think he is somehow "defending" someone's "self-respect." Those are both obtuse concepts. They're ideas. And if people are having physical conflicts (and making relationship decisions) over those things, I would be much more aware of who you surround yourself with. If you share their problem, at least now you know.

Let's just say, there are a lot of people on this subreddit who value undisciplined self-respect over intelligence (e.g "If you win a fight, you're a man and you got self-respect, derp"). There are a lot of great people here too. Who you choose to listen to is up to you. Any adult can see how juvenile that line of reasoning is, and you're probably getting "life advice" from a high school kid (or an adult with their mentality, which is worse) if you listen to it. Save yourself some time you'll never get back; don't listen to it.

And there are a lot of (especially young) women who do the same. If that kind of woman, one who lacks real self-respect based off of discipline (hard work), is what you're looking for, then by all means, start some fights.

Before doing that, I ask you to see that successful middle-aged men and middle-aged women could not care less about insults, and that people don't generally insult them unless they're in politics or some other public position, and even then, it's usually the juvenile people doing the insulting.

The only people who get thrills from fights, and who admire people who start fights (including some women), are people who are either being paid to do it (professional fighter), or people with limited (fragile) self-respect.

Women with disciplined (e.g. earned) self-respect are the only worthwhile partners if you plan on living a disciplined (rich) life. The difference in character quality is astounding.

If you want an easily manipulated woman who'll "make out" with anyone because they think they're "defending" their unearned "self-respect," by all means, listen to people that say violence is attractive.

Otherwise listen to the smarter people here (there are plenty) and work on yourself and avoid conflict like the plague. Your biggest threat in life, in conflict, and with respectable women is yourself.

edit: didn't talk about 4th scenario because it would be redundant. Let's leave off on a positive story:

Most people I know at my gym are the most friendly, positive people I've met. A lot of them are the most vulnerable too, because they have real goals they struggle for every day. For example, there is one extremely buff Asian guy, nicest guy I've ever met and he helped me a ton when I started working out again, and he was always worried that he "looked too skinny." People had always called him lanky, twig-like and a lot of other things when he was growing up, and he was a gymnast, so he was by no means weak, but he always had that negative label in his head (I think it was cultural and that he associated "twiggy" and "sickly" together). He was always thinking of the best way to keep up his health while retaining his muscle mass, because he had an insane metabolism rate and did not want to develop heart problems as a result of his eating habits. Those are the types of people you see at gyms. If you think of it, why would any mildly intelligent person put that much work into their body, only to have all of that work potentially thrown away in some stupid fight? Even most professional fighters, people paid to train for and regularly participate in fights, completely avoid fights unless they are necessary. And those fights aren't to protect their "self-respect," I can tell you that much.

And just so you know, Asian guy has one of the most beautiful wives. A young lady I used to know from a previous job, they have a daughter, she has a full-time job in marketing (from a home office) she makes time to work out with her husband and be a positive influence in the community (she was involved in her church's homeless shelter program). That man and that woman would never fight a day in their lives over some "insult." I bet the 50-ish homeless/ex-homeless people would have a conflict to "defend" them before they ever fought someone over something like that, and while that seems nice, really think about that: Why would the homeless fight? Why do people in general fight? And why would the people that all of these people would "fight for" try not to fight?

Mind you, this is not saying "roll over like a chump." We're all gun-owners. What I am saying is, is there a real danger to you, or are you afraid you'll "lose" your "self-respect?" If there is a real danger, by all means, deck someone out. But if you are respectable, and your wife is respectable, people won't be insulting either of you to begin with, because it will be pointless. It won't do anything aside from make them look weak, jealous and pathetic.

I had a HS girlfriend that was a virgin and held out. At prom time a guy got mad when her asked her out in front of me, and actually popped her when she said no. Being the model citizen I was at that age, I jumped him, body slammed him, then deposited him in the nearest trash can. That got her juices flowing, and I took her v card that night.

Then again, she kept telling her now husband she was a virgin too.

My take on this is a simple one shared by many people here: Men compete, women select.

By winning a fight, not only are you fulfilling a woman's subconscious desire for toxic drama, but also proving that you're AMOG. Fights are high risk/reward in that regard.
