This is my first post on TRP. Half a year into TRP, I'm 25 with a great job and building solid self esteem (especially lately). Days of being imprisoned in my own head when I'm around others are long gone.

A consistent diet, lifting, reading and meditation keeps me present. It's seriously the best medicine for a recovering BP. I'm living proof and people have noticed.

Women have been flirty, never got this in my BP days. Women have explicitly complimented my confidence and lightheartedness. However, I've had plenty of:

  • "Oh, I have a boyfriend. I'll still take your number and we can hang out!"

My de-facto answer (this happens that many times):

  • "Oh I see. I have enough friends. It was great meeting you though."

Other times I'd get a number that leads to a flake. I'm paying my dues by working for long-term gratification. I can see the results and different reactions from friends and people I'm not attracted to. I realize no one has a time constraint to when they've "made it" but days like this, I smoke a fat bowl and tell myself "keep working and you'll be fine."

Any sage advice is welcome.

PS. This community rocks. Thanks for helping me make a shift in my life.
