Posted this weeks ago. I'm still Asian.. and still timid when it comes to cold approaches, but am constantly working on myself cause I want to like myself more.

Back to the FR, I was at a local coffee shop in Southern California when I saw her studying at the next table. I was meeting my cute friend, Jizzy, so I put off saying hi to her. Jizzy came over and I gained instant social proof for hanging with a good looker. After she left, the coffee bartender made small talk with me which gave me extra confidence.

I have this constant fear people are watching and laughing at me when I pickup. The thought alone makes me cringe. I watched Eliot Chang's video on embarrassment and felt like he was talking about my life. Here's the gist:

  1. No one cares about what you're doing. Get over yourself
  2. Idiot's opinions don't matter. The majority out there are idiots.
  3. Courage makes you better. 99% of the people don't have the balls to cold approach someone they think is attractive.

Two asian bros sat across from her. Maybe it was day 4 of Mark Manson's porn diet or that I wanted to prove something to myself, but I got up and stopped at her table.

"Hi, I'm longelm. What's your name?" (reaches hand out)

"Hi, I'm Sanja"

"Mind if I sit down?"

"Totally!"

"I just thought you were cute and wanted to say hi"

She let out a giggle and looked down.. which is definitely a sign of interest to me. Main difference from my last post:

  • I kept eye contact as I was being vulnerable (telling her she's cute)
  • Ignored the room and focused on the now. It was just her and I
  • Stayed curious as to what she's like and if she's fun

She was applying for colleges. I prayed damn hard it was for grad school (I'm 25). Needless to say, I ejected after a minute or two of small talk without a number.

In my defense, she was part Indian and White. I'm a sucker for brunettes too. I felt zero shame not asking for her number. The balls are growing and I'm hoping my game catches up. /r/seduction is the one sub I check every morning for good reason. Thanks to you who put yourselves out there. I find confidence and swagger in your anecdotes.
